Again, you couldn't be further from the truth. TE's see God in the creation just as you do. It just happens that their understanding of the creation actually matches what we find there, unlike young earth creationists.
I have no problem talking to people about Genesis. It tells us what we need to know about God's involvment in creation. God created it all! I don't see how denying (by closing ones eyes and avoiding sound scientific conclusions) that it would help to witness. If I wanted to do that, I might as well revert to telling people that the sun revolves around the earth. That was a big part of the witness of biblical literalists in the past. It was wrong, just like young earth creationism. I don't think it would be good witness to tell people an incorrect (and falsified) history of the creation.
