• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Any animal has a heartbeat. It's our brain that makes us special.

If they're not going to recover and aren't conscious, they're essentially already dead*. If they've never been conscious, they essentially have never been alive*.

*as a person, not as a collection of cells.

I'm not talking about brain-dead. I'm talking about those who need breathing assistance since one could argue that without the "breath of life" a fetus isn't a baby.

Yeah... turns out people really don't like breaking open an egg and getting a chicken fetus. I think the eggs are checked for being unfertilized by shining a bright light through them.

I remember this now. Learned it on the fourth grade field trip to the farm. How do roosters fertilize the egg though after it hatches? I'm not remembering all of these details too well.

Never said it wasn't. If the fetus can be delivered safely without heroic measures needed in order to save it, that's the best option. In the states, late term abortions are only for rare cases, and generally something is very, very wrong with either the woman or the fetus and it is medically necessary, not merely a "oh I don't want this anymore" situation.

good point.

How could you only look at it in a US perspective when God is the God of the universe. Are you suggesting that God only governs the US? The lengths some people will go when they are backed against a wall facing their self generated demons is unprecedented. Just admit that your provision makes no sense....oh by the way I live in California but I'm gonna guess that I'm only looking at it from a Californian perspective, right?

God doesn't govern the USA. That's what the president, congress and the Supreme Court are for.

SOS, I personally also believe in reincarnation, so I agree. I could've been an unborn child at one point. So? It is bc I'm alive now that that question seems irrelevant. That's why I didn't add to that thread.

How does a Christian believe in reincarnation? if I'm not mistaken, I believe that is called: heresy.

Yea...that has no grounds in Christianity. In fact...why would Jesus die for our sins just so we could be reborn on earth back into sin...??

Nope, I didn't say u or every other Christian had to believe in it so I'm not going to get into that discussion. It was more relating to another thread in this forum. That's why I brought it up. It was like, what was the point of the question if no Christian believes in reincarnation.

Arj, you need to do some more study in the word of God and renounce that belief, reincarnation is nothing but Eastern Mysticism and it's roots are demonic.

I'll renounce it right here and now if it will get u to drop it. Don't care to debate this one. Therefore it isn't heresy bc it isn't ANYTHING I'm pushing onto others. So don't push ur position onto me. It really isn't going to happen.

I won't mention it again, I just wanted you to know that reincarnation is a false belief and not safe territory for someone who claims Christ.

Blessings.

Ask Jesus whether Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist.

Malachi 4:5

“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
Matthew 11:14
And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.

Show me a Christian who is pro-choice and I will show you a Christian who holds false theological beliefs. Two cases in point above.

John the Baptist had the same anointing that Elijah did, but he was not the same person, Christianity is not Hinduism. We die and then face judgement and the bible makes clear our spirit is eternal. Wow this is really getting into some strange territory...
