  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not sure whether I'm raising this topic in the wrong forum, If so then please Mods let me know.

I recently read this quote:

]"The most dangerous place to live in America is in a Mothers womb." [/QUOTE

...unfortunatly it is the same in Australia.

So what do we think of Abortion?? And what is solution to this ever growing problem??

I'm assuming the answers to my question will be obvious, but I thought I worth asking none the less.

Thanks for your replies.

Abortion:, Jeremiah 1: 5, compare with, Revelation 18: 24.

Babylon: during Bill Clinton time in the office, he opened abortion clinics through out the third world.

Collages: I have sent 3 of my children through this open mined, liberal, Institution. And they are teaching that being sexually active is OK, Abortion is the solution for being sexually active, Homosexual is expectable, being tolerant of intolerant behavior. They will give questions that are worded in such a way that the only answer is to agree with there teaching. The student is told that they are not allowed to use the Bible as a referents, and must not use your views on such issues. Just there text books as a resorts.
The time of worshiping one self will soon be over.

*MOD Kippah on*

As of this time this thread is open ONLY for Messianic Judaism Forum Members only, meaning if you don't have the scroll , you don't post in here.

Also please lets talk rationally about this. What our faith believes and not let this boil over or I will have to close. As you all know this is a very touchy subject. I also want to speak to the men here and ask that they be careful of their words so as not to hurt their sisters here unintentionally. We all are not perfect and some have not known Yeshua their whole lives, or followed his teachings. Some women that come here may have had an abortion. Yeshua has forgiven them, if they have repented of it, and I expect you to keep that in mind when speaking on this subject. There can still be a lot of pain there, so please

PROCEED IN LOVE.

I wasnt going to post on this topic, but now I do feel I have something to share. my chickens and doves have radios in their pens tuned 24 hours to the classical station, they like it. This morning I heard an anouncement on the radio for a movie or play, not sure which, called "Mitzie's abortion", they were going on about the story and how it was entertaining and funny. It made me mad and sick. That is what this society is like, not only is abortion acceptable, but it is considered something amusing and funny. It leaves me speachless.

As a family we have never condoned abortion. That has always been our decision.
I am 3 months pregnant, and I think that this matter is just starting to have a much more personal realisation with Matt. Having seen the scan photo's etc of the baby, this issue is now much closer to home than before. We have had the issue of abortion discussed with me, due to my age and probablity of a downs child, but that of course, of us, is not an option.
He just found the above statement sad.

Torah I said something similar to him. It depends on the mother. But it is sad that more children die this way, than from any other.

Just my thoughts.

I was born-again only 5 short years ago. I can't tell you the horror I felt when I realized how G-d feels about abortion. Jeremiah and the words of David blasted any thought that abortion was OK right out of my previously fem lib heart. Thank you, L-rd for saving me and correcting me!

Tracey, you are MattyJames mom?

Ani Maamin

How old was Sarah when she gave birth to Isaac?

Tracey focus on that. :) Ani Maamin

Yes Ani, TEA is my beloved Mother. I am second eldest of 7, God willing that number can be made 8 early next year.

Yes thanks for clarifying Mum. I understand the sensitivity of this dicussion, but with another sibling on the way, I have come to that place where its significance if waying on me.

Of course I am anti abortion, reguardless of circumstance. Actually we are lucky here in Australia because we have promintent Politicions, both the former deputy Prime Minister, and the current Deputy Prime Minister, that both support the Anit-abortion movement here in OZ. Both of them have been in a situation where either the child or their wives have been in critical danger during pregnancies, and both have made the decision to continue with the term. Unfortunatly, one of them lost the child, 5 years later, due to the complications.

Thank you all for your posts, I apreciate the openess and honesty.

I cannot see where abortion causes anything but pain for the woman who has one. My daughter-in-law was rapped at the age of 15. She did not believe in abortion and kept this child who is such a wonderful and precious give. Though she is not my biological granddaughter, I love her as I do my the three little girls that were fathered by my son. She is a special treasure, sent from
G-d.

Welcome to CF! You are a treasure also to have opened your heart like that!

It's interesting but somewhere on the internet is a list of great men who would never have been born if abortion had been legal, readily available and accepted by their mothers. I believe among them would have been Beethoven and the Wesleys.

Hi Gophylann,

its stories like yours that bring me to tears. God Bless your Daughter-in-law. God Bless her a thousand times. I have the utmost respect for her and not to mention your son. What a man!

While on the subject of List of men, did you know that James Robison, the founder of Life Outreach Ministries, was a product of rape?? And look at his life. Sure we have doctrinal difference, but he certianly puts his faith into practice.

Once again thanks Gophylann,

Matt James

I thought I'd chime in on this subject.

First, I am prolife, which means I support any means (even if it includes handing out condoms *gasp*) to reduce abortions.

Second, before we met, when my wife was 18 she was raped and ended up getting pregnant as a result. She lived in a home where she couldn't share with her parents what happened. So as a scared 18 year old she felt (rightly or wrongly) that her only choice was to get an abortion. To this day (almost 18 years later) she regrets that decision to have an abortion.

So, while some Christians may disagree my position on this matter of; "doing whatever it takes to reduce the number of abortions", even it if means making condoms more accessible. I have seen first hand what abortion can emotionally do to a woman and I believe that saving a human live is much much much "heavier" than discouraging premarital sex.

Thanks for your views Andyman, I don't underestimate the difficulty in sharing such personal pain. May God continue to guide you and yours on your road to Jerusalem.

Thanks heaps,

The regret of abortion and burden it has put on a woman's conscience is one of those un-researched subjects. If it was researched, I believe that the toll on the mind and emotion of the females is far greater than the rape itself. One of the main reasons is that abortion is killing and rape is an injury.

From what I have read and heard, there is a Death that happens with rape as well. Never the less, we must be carefull not to speculate on such issues.
