  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I cannot see where abortion causes anything but pain for the woman who has one. My daughter-in-law was rapped at the age of 15. She did not believe in abortion and kept this child who is such a wonderful and precious give. Though she is not my biological granddaughter, I love her as I do my the three little girls that were fathered by my son. She is a special treasure, sent from
G-d.
That is so awsome. I guess two wrongs don't make a right. A woman feels bad enough if she is rapped let alone having an abortion.

There is the Jewish perspective that should be considered in a Messianic discussion such as this. Would anyone like to share what that is here?

I've not an idea of what your talking about...so I wait in anticipation.

Life is precious. I wish every child was wanted and loved. God loves them, but sadly many hearts have grown colder until there is no love left in them. If it is a barometer, then geneocide is not far off. Statistics show the growing phenonomen of the "me" generation and the results will be felt in more than just the abortion arena. Cry out for the abomination of desolation of human life.

The center of Judaism is Chai, Life. Life is most important, it superceeds even mitzvot, Example, if eating a pork chop is the only food available and you are starving to death, eat the pork chop.

It's all about chai, Life, L'Chaim!

Nice, which supports my position that if preventing an abortion means making condoms available then saving the life is "heavier" than preventing potential sexual misconduct.

If it prevents an abortion.

If there is not fertilization how can life be "killed"?

The seed can be viewed as having life.

Andyman, I can see where you are coming from, but this is a pretty clear issue. We either act in a manner that is consistent with HaShem's wishes or we are outside that.

Some sins are considered an abomination, however it is hard to say if HaShem considers stealing worse than unforgiveness for example. Is it our place to judge?

Intesting post Zayit and CR. Once again, this is a conformation of what I believe and have been taught by my folks. Thanks for that.

I haven't found the latest statistics but in Israel in 1999 there were about 34,000 TOP's. In America there is about 1.3 million yearly. That is huge!

I also know that Austalias number of TOP's is about 100,000 annualy.

I fear that we in the west are living on borrowed time.

Torah I said something similar to him. It depends on the mother. But it is sad that more children die this way, than from any other.

Just my thoughts. "

my question; what depends on the mother? I thought in judaism, messianic through orthodox, and in Scripture, it depends on the father (unless the wife is disobedient to Yahweh). [Realizing a righteous wife/mother would do anything to save the life of her child if her husband disobeyed Yahweh's Instructions and said to abort.]
