"Time for America to wake up and adopt your system of values?"
Well I wish baby killing wasn't legal. Girls are now just tossing babies in dumpsters. Why even mess with an abortion? All because the baby is inside of you and attached to you doesn't mean it's not a seperate human. Extreme example time since we seem to like to bring up extremes on this thread. How would you feel if you lived in a society that believes it's ok to marry any woman against her will and raping her is ok and if she gets to out of hand she can be killed? I guess then you may want people to adopt your values? Or would you say that's ok?

And how would she suffer her entire life? She can give the baby up for adoption. What is nine months of suffering compared to the life of another person, an innocent baby!

and has anyone heard of post-abortion syndrone (don't know actual name of it) but it's where (and doctor's won't tell you this at the time but...
When the mother of an aborted child has an abortionnothing happens right away. But after abotu 3 years, the mother is sure to see a child about the age that the baby would be. There can be uncontrollable crying, actual birth pains, cramps, all that birth stuff, deep depression, etc. But no one tells you about this kinda stuff before-hand.

And even if there wasn't a father that they would come to get a loving father and mother.

Hi Mallory,
The bottom line for us is that abortion is taking a life,

LOL, you think when you give a baby up for adoption that's it, all better?

What about a 12-year-old girl who was molested by her father? If she's extremely unstable, and keeps attempting suicide? Or any suicidal person? If it's the life of the mother or the life of the child?

I don't have time to read this thread atm, but I would like to make a quick comment. I recently heard on the local news about a nine (9) year old child who was pregnant as a result of her grandfather raping her. He had been abusing her for many years.
I am completely against convenience abortions, but there are always extreme situations where abortion is a horrible necessity. Common sense must prevail.
Which child's life would you end? The nine year old or the unborn child? What if the nine year old was your daughter?

How is that "the bottom line"? That's your opinion.
You think it's a baby as soon as the sperm fertilizes the egg?
I would not allow my life to be destroyed if someone decided to rape me while I was walking home one day.
But that's not something you have to worry about, is it?

Aren't we allowed our own opinions?
At the moment the sperm fertilizes a life begins to form.
What would you rather live with the rest of your life
The fact that you took a life?
Or the fact that you saved one?
For me the answer is clear, I would rather save the life of a baby than take it.
Why wouldn't I have to worry about it? I'm a female and can be raped just like any other.

In the end, though, I think this is one of the issues where society should set the rules based on social necessity and best net results, and individual people should do their own moral thinking.
You obviously don't understand something... when you get raped, you don't HAVE to get pregnant! It is God's will that you get pregnant and He makes the decision one way or the other. And if he chooses you to get pregnant, then He obviously has something in mind for that child.Originally posted by Mallory Knox

And you think killing off the baby's chance for a normal life is better than that?Originally posted by Mallory Knox
And that's worse than what happens when you give a baby up for adoption?

Your life is not destroyed by having a baby either. Your life would just change.
