Please view my previous posts. Rape by family members, when the wife's life is at stake because of the pregnancy, that sort of thing. Can I have an example of an exception please?
I'm silly.I didn't think on looking at the adventists official statement!!!
I am more careful when looking at "official statements" Not everyone agrees with official statements and some of them may be made by biast people. Don't take official statments as that is the one belief all Adventists hold.
If the 'official statements' are not what SDAism really teaches and expects members to believe and support with their money and time, why not change them?I am more careful when looking at "official statements" Not everyone agrees with official statements and some of them may be made by biast people. Does the same apply to the 28 fundamental belief statements?
More specifically, if SDA's do not believe, or maybe accept, the 'official statements' the chruch makes (such as the case of their abortion statements), are they free to reject them and do their own 'thing', so to speak? It should, but will it ever? Probably not.

Are they then free to do the same with the 28 fundamental belief statements too? At what point would they no longer be considered an SDA as they pick and choose which they will and which they will not believe?
Are they all 'essential'? If yes, then how could even one of them be dropped or changed or adapted to fit an individual's belief? If you're going to be an SDA, shouldn't they all be embraced? If they aren't all 'essential', then why have them?
(Serious questions. No flaming intended at all! For real! Just asking.)
