During 167 BC, Antiochus Epiphanes killed thousands of Jews, and stopped the temple sacrifices.
He also had a pig sacrificed on the altar, and had a statue set up in the sanctuary. After he was defeated the temple was cleansed, and rededicated. The Jews of Jesus time "understood" this because they celebrated Hanukkah every year.

From "Antiquities of the Jews" by Josephus, Book 12, chapter 7

"6. When therefore the generals of Antiochus's armies had been beaten so often, Judas assembled the people together, and told them, that after these many victories which God had given them, they ought to go up to Jerusalem, and purify the temple, and offer the appointed sacrifices. But as soon as he, with the whole multitude, was come to Jerusalem, and found the temple deserted, and its gates burnt down, and plants growing in the temple of their own accord, on account of its desertion, he and those that were with him began to lament, and were quite confounded at the sight of the temple; so he chose out some of his soldiers, and gave them order to fight against those guards that were in the citadel, until he should have purified the temple. When therefore he had carefully purged it, and had brought in new vessels, the candlestick, the table [of shew-bread], and the altar [of incense], which were made of gold, he hung up the veils at the gates, and added doors to them. He also took down the altar [of burnt-offering], and built a new one of stones that he gathered together, and not of such as were hewn with iron tools. So on the five and twentieth day of the month Casleu, which the Macedonians call Apeliens, they lighted the lamps that were on the candlestick, and offered incense upon the altar [of incense], and laid the loaves upon the table [of shew-bread], and offered burnt-offerings upon the new altar [of burnt-offering]. Now it so fell out, that these things were done on the very same day on which their Divine worship had fallen off, and was reduced to a profane and common use, after three years' time; for so it was, that the temple was made desolate by Antiochus, and so continued for three years. This desolation happened to the temple in the hundred forty and fifth year, on the twenty-fifth day of the month Apeliens, and on the hundred fifty and third olympiad: but it was dedicated anew, on the same day, the twenty-fifth of the month Apeliens, on the hundred and forty-eighth year, and on the hundred and fifty-fourth olympiad. And this desolation came to pass according to the prophecy of Daniel, which was given four hundred and eight years before; for he declared that the Macedonians would dissolve that worship [for some time].

7. Now Judas celebrated the festival of the restoration of the sacrifices of the temple for eight days, and omitted no sort of pleasures thereon; but he feasted them upon very rich and splendid sacrifices; and he honored God, and delighted them by hymns and psalms. Nay, they were so very glad at the revival of their customs, when, after a long time of intermission, they unexpectedly had regained the freedom of their worship, that they made it a law for their posterity, that they should keep a festival, on account of the restoration of their temple worship, for eight days. And from that time to this we celebrate this festival, and call it Lights. I suppose the reason was, because this liberty beyond our hopes appeared to us; and that thence was the name given to that festival. Judas also rebuilt the walls round about the city, and reared towers of great height against the incursions of enemies, and set guards therein. He also fortified the city Bethsura, that it might serve as a citadel against any distresses that might come from our enemies. "

Josephus confirms above the understanding of the Jews of his time, who knew that Daniel had predicted the events of 167 BC, by Antiochus Epiphanes.
Josephus confirms it as a historical fact.

John 10:22 is a reference to the celebration of Hanukkah each year by the Jews of Jesus time.

The Book of Matthew was addressed mainly to a Jewish audience. Jesus was telling the Jews of His time that something similar to 167 BC would happen during 70 AD. Not only did Antiochus desecrate the temple, but he also attacked the city killing thousands of Jews and stopped the temple sacrifices. The temple sacrifices would also stop in 70 AD, due to the destruction of the temple. Based on John 10:22, the Jews were well aware of this historical fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy. Luke’s Gospel was written to more of a Gentile audience, so he spelled it out for them.

Matthew 24:15-16 and Luke 21:20-21 are clearly parallel accounts, because we have the same reference to flee in the second verse in each Gospel.

PROBLEMS WITH ANTIOCHUS IV CLAIMED FULFILLMENT OF DANIEL 11:

1. Antiochus didn't come to power using 'flatteries' like Dan.11 says the "vile person" will do.

2. Antiochus did not make a "league" with a small people in Jerusalem like Dan.11 says the "vile person" will do.

3. Antiochus took Jerusalem using an army, not using peace.

4. Jesus quoted the Book of Daniel about the "abomination of desolation" in Dan.11 about 200 years AFTER... Antiochus had been dead!

5. The Romans in 70 A.D. didn't fulfill the Dan.11 prophecy because the 2nd temple burned down before they could get control of it. And a standing temple is required for the "abomination of desolation" event to be fulfilled. Emblems on a staff standing over stone ruins doesn't get it.

Just those facts are enough to show that we are to look for another to fulfill the "vile person" prophecy in Dan.11 sometime in the future.

....

That said, we must understand that the Beast of sea ALONE is unable to establish a religious kingdom in whole earth or around the earth.

Sounds like you've been into too many SDA books instead of sticking to God's written Word.

The 1st beast of Rev.13:1-2 is the beast kingdom. The Book of Daniel covers both the idea of a beast kingdom, and a beast king. The beast kingdom is what has ten horns, seven heads, and ten crowns. The seven heads represent "seven mountains" per Rev.17. So these symbols are not part of the dragon's body, nor any kind of idea like that. This 1st beast is not the dragon, nor a person. It's a system, which is why Rev.13:2 points back to the beast kingdom symbols in Dan.7.

To identify who are these 10 kings, let us analyse before some details to help us to understand who are them. In my view, I focuse in what is obvious, as follows:
-two legs of iron
-two feet; part of potters'clay(Jewish part-Isaiah 64:v.8), and part of iron(Gentile part). They are linked to each other although so different from the origin.
-10 toes; part of potters'clay(Jewish part-Isaiah 64:v.8), and part of iron(Gentile part).

Detail:
In my view, it seems very clear that the divided kingdom between Jewish and Gentile rulers will happen now, in the present time, much probably in this new decade, it because Israel remained 1878 years exiled or banned from their land, and only now ISRAEL is a consolidated nation.

It doesn't have anything to do with just any Gentile rulers vs. Israel. God already gave us the list of nations that will be allied with the coming Antichrist. The list is in Ezekiel 38, and it's Libya, Persia (Iran, Iraq), Gomer (old Soviet satellites), Ethiopia (actually Sudan, which ancient Ethiopia used to include), and Togarmah (the area of Turkey). Those nations are to be allied with the chief prince of Rus, i.e, Russia. And LO... guess who has been funding those nations against Israel and the Christian nations? Russia, i.e., Atheistic-Communism.

The final beast kingdom shown in Dan.2 as the feet of ten toes of part iron mixed with part clay represents the weakest attempt at a one world kingdom. When Jesus (the Stone) comes to smite it upon its feet, we're shown all the five parts of the beast statue falling down 'together'. That's simple terminology for a one-world beast kingdom over all nations. That is what the 1st beast of Rev.13:1-2 is pointing to.

1) The Dragon (Satan or the devil) who has 7 heads, and 10 horns, and a TAIL.
THE BEAST OF THE EARTH-EARTH IS ISRAEL-THE BEAST STILL NEEDS TO MANIFEST- HE HAS TWO HORNS-BY ALLEGORY TWO REIGNS OF ISRAEL-AND TWO FEET OF STATUE-DAN.2-

Sorry, but you're all mixed up. The 2nd beast, the "another beast" of Rev.13:11, that has two horns LIKE a lamb (Jesus), but speaks as a dragon, is a metaphor for Satan coming to PLAY Messiah! If it walks like a duck, talks like duck, it is... a duck. Same idea with one who speaks as a dragon, for the "dragon" of Revelation is simply another title for Satan himself per Rev.12:9, and there is only one 'dragon', not many. He is the same 'red dragon' of the Rev.12:3-4 Scripture.

Note in Rev.12:3-4, at the time when a third of the angels were drawn to earth by the dragon's tail, that beast kingdom of 'old' had only 7 crowns. The system in Rev.13:1 is to have 10 crowns.

That old one of Rev.12:3-4 was about Satan's original rebellion of old, in the world that then was which God destroyed. That was when Satan drew a third of the angels into rebellion with him, as he coveted God's throne. That is a BIG HINT Jesus is giving us, revealing what this final beast kingdom of Rev.13:1 is going to be about, and how it will be that old serpent, the dragon himself, coming to sit over it.

If the two passages below are not related, can you explain why the same warning to flee from Judaea to the mountains is found in both passages?

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luk 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

The common word elements in the first verse of each passage also confirm the two passages are speaking of the same event. What is the mathematical probability of finding those same words in two different verses, if they are not related? The word "desolation" is only found 5 times in the New Testament. How many times is that word proceeded by "when ye shall see"?

.

No, what you're saying is a doctrine of men and does not align with what is written in God's Word.

Jesus made it plain in the parable of the fig tree that the specific generation that sees 'all those signs' would not die out until all those signs happen. The last sign Jesus gave there was the sign of His return and gathering of His Church, which of course has never happened.

So nice try with attempting to move Christ's return as already having happened, which is a doctrine of devils and not God's Word. I suggest you find a different Church to listen to.
I have no idea how you cannot see that what Jesus predicted about the temple and Jerusalem happened in His generation exactly as He predicted.
