I usually start by driving to the store, picking out the perfect 6 pack and then proceeding through checkout. lol *smacks self* :D

Other than that...... *pokes at belly* .........um, I'm not much help. I have to find my all of my ribs before I start worrying about specifically defining each muscle group in my abdomen. lol

Step 1:
Exercise. I usually do crunches of various kinds. There's a plethora of different ab exercises, but they all mimic the same basic movement. So lay on your back and make those muscles work!

Step 2:
Rid yourself of excess fat. You could have incredibly strong and defined abs, but no one will see them if they're covered in lard. I read somewhere that the biggest single step for most people in their quest for a six pack is cardio, and that's about right.

Get rid of the old spare tire and grow some gut muscle. That's about the extent of it.

Yes diet is very important, especially at first. Basically not eating fats, having lot's of protien shakes, no carbs after 4 p.m., light foods such as salad! Getting rid of the top layer of fat and making it flat by cardio at 4-6 times a week, depending on how badly you want it. Then enter into the part of getting ripped... which happens by a lot of reps of a variety of different exercises. Just remember don't get into taking diet pills or anything like that because it really can mess up your heart and other stuff. If you would like to do further research here are some websites that may be of help: http://www.leonardfitness.com/abs.htm

You go boy! you're in my prayers. ;)

This really depends on your current body fat percentage.

Consistant daily exercise and a proper diet are the keys
;)
Exactly, you can not have a 6 pack with high BF. Also, you can not pick a place for your body to burn fat, so just doing ab work will not burn fat in your belly.

What type of program are you on for diet and excersise?

It really depends on many factors.

Starting with your gender.

In general raise your metabolic rate by exercising more and eating more meals and smaller plates.

The issue with fat is not with all fats , however with saturated fats. You need plenty of poly and mono saturated fats for your cardiovascular health, besides fats are precursors for testosterone which in turn hel burn fat and creat muscle.

I see you are a male, so you may want to utilize your testosterone to the max. Exercise, mostly do weights (most weight lifitng exercises exercise your abdominal muscles anyway) and change your diet to lower carbs higher protein and higher "good" fats.

This is a slow but sure method to achieve it. Best wishes.

You not only need to have practicaly no fat on your body, you also need to have the type of body which will grow muscles quite large - most of those people in ads on TV for the latest ab machine are probably loaded with steroids.

The exercise you need to do is pretty much just doing crunches and running to keep the fat off. Keep in mind though, it would look rather rediculous to have an awesome sixpack and really skinny arms and rest of the body.

LOL. I was gonna recommend one of those drive thru places where you don't even have to get out of the car.;)

But as for abs, you ain't gettin a six pack in a couple of months. It takes work and time. No good thing has a quick fix. If you have the discipline it will happen. Just not that fast.

I saw alot of those Ab machines at yard sales this weekend. My guess is they don't work, or these people would not be getting rid of them. Especially the AB-Doer, it looks like a little seat and the back moves side to side. I recall seeing those on an infomercial for over $200 bucks a few years back. I could have got one for $5!! Good old fashioned sit ups is the only way to go, and don't eat late at night, drink lots of H20...good luck..

if you want a six pack you will have to get rid of a lot of excess fat (if you have any)
there are a various amount of exercise.
the most sucessful one for me was suicides ( hanging upside down on a pull up bar and doing crunches.
then there are bicycle crunches (lay on your back bring up your knees and petal like a bicycle. keep hands behide head and touch opposite knee w/ elbow) those are two exercises.
