Ben, it sounds like you should be considering what is called social security disability in the United States, so that you can meet your needs for food and shelter, and help care for this child at least financially. You are in a truly tough spot - a rock and a hard place. We need to be understanding that you can only do so much with brain damage, and believers need to pray for you. I know you have made many mistakes, but I support you for confessing your sins, asking for Christian guidance, and trying to do the right thing when the deck seems totally stacked against you. But you need to get yourself right or at least in a better place first, so you can then hopefully with the help of the Lord, take care of your child.
