Well, is there not someone you know, or someone you could find out about who would have information that might help you get plugged in to to some kind of ministry or community service project? Some volunteering at the public school? A widow who needs help with her yard? Someone who needs a ride to go the Dr. or grocery shop? Pick up some Rx.
Just some thoughts...
My pastor said that if you want to have a meaningful life and to feel good about yourself, you need to make a meaningful life and do things that will make you feel like a valuable person. Don't just sit around wishing things were different. Do something about it.
