I would go even one step further, a world without Jesus is a religious world without godly love.

Revelation chapter 4 is a revelation of heaven and earth before Christ was manifest in the flesh. This is the glory of creation and God's creation of us for his pleasure. This is the common salvation for the nations. This is all joy.
Revelation chapter 5 is a revelation of heaven and earth after Christ was manifest in the flesh as Jesus of Nazareth, the root of David, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb of God. This is sorrow which afterwards turns to rejoicing. This is the greater glory of God in the purpose of redemption through the blood of Jesus and his priesthood, of which he has chosen a few to be members and to serve on the earth in obscurity.
