I like this line of thinking.....If we can find a few good things about a person, we can use those things to support them as a whole.

He's done what he knows will appeal to a conservative Christian base that will choose the lesser of 2 evils because they'd rather have the pretense of religious freedom rather than whatever greater evils they imagine under the opposition based on political spin

Not sure Christians should make political issues their reasoning for voting for someone if they believe 1) God is sovereign and would put whoever it wants in office and 2) that the end times are supposedly at hand with all the evil and sinning that's going on, even though that's been an opinion of Christians for most of its history

Is he REALLY against abortion or for Israel himself or just for the presidential campaign and pretense of being as such when he's demonstrably been a Democrat for far longer?

His son in law is "Jewish", his daughter converted so the grand kids will be raised in the "Jewish" faith. He far and away is pro Israel. He is a hero to them. They even minted a coin with him on it. It is worth quite a bit, they are selling for $60.

Christians should support abortion since all babies go to heaven.

Even in Heaven the Babies do not understand why their parents did not want them. People need to receive healing for that sort of abandonment. I went though that with my son when his mom was not there for him. My wife has been working with a girl that was adopted and she is dealing with issues because of her feeling that he parents did not want her.

Our spouses accept us with our faults because we have qualities that they hold important - as we do them. Same applies to parents siblings, friends, etc

American Christians are quite easy to get. Just say something anti abortion or pro-Israel and they will fight for you till the end.

I think its caused by a very extreme US politics, so there are no "grey zone" politicians for the masses, US masses want either black or white, they see their presidents as either sent from God or as the last time antichrists.
