I don't think so, but I do think it will be joined by 2-5 nations in our lifetime. I think it will take fresh new ideas and fresh new leaders to prepare the US and lead it during this time. We will be the most advanced militarily for the next at least 25 years. But within the next 20 years we will no longer be the worlds largest economy. I do however think during our lifetimes we will always be in the top 4, unless we have bad political leadership and bad economic policies (especially ones that bog down and over regulate the economy and discourage creativity - this normally occurs when Democrats are allowed to control the White House and the Congress)

This is a major reason why we must strengthen our alliances with nations that are most similiar to us...like the UK, most of Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Japan. We also must strengthen relations with nations in Latin America, Africa, and Asia - particulary India (one of the future super powers)

What would you do if the US ever turned away from Israel?

I would be furious! And I would do everything that I could to change our foreign policy back toward a pro-Israel stance. I don't think this will happen not in the next 20 years anyway. Republicans are overwhelmingly staunch supporters of Israel and there are still a lot of Democrats who support Israel (even though Congressman Rahall has shown over the years that he abhores Israel and has fought to change our stance on Israel....most or at least a good number of Democrats in Congress still support Israel, when Hezbollah attacked Israel and Israel attacked back the House passed a bill of support for Israel and only 8 members (all Dems I think) voted against it and thought Hezbollah was in the right - one of those 8 was our own wonderful pro-Syrian, pro-terrorist, anti-Israel Congressman Rahall)

What do you think about Columbia University allowing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak and answer questions from its students?

I have very mixed feelings on this. I don't think I would have allowed it, but I think we got to see how big of a liar he is. We can't stop free speech, but we must hold people accountable for what they say. I believe it is very fair to compare him to Hitler before 1939. The similarities are startling, we saw Hitler, but did nothing until he got so strong that it took millions of Britons, Franks, and Russians and thousands of Americans to lose their lives to stop him. Are we going to make the same mistake? Only time will tell, but I find it very intriguing that the three countries fighting hardest for tougher sanctions are the same three democracies that fought Hitler...France, the UK, and the US.

I haven't adequately followed the story. Racism is still a major problem in this country. But we must remember that racism is NOT a one way street. It does go both ways and its not always a southern white guy that commits a racist act. There are black racists too. We must fight all types of racism and everyone should get a fair and just trial with the appropriate punishment for the crime.

Our soul is who we are. Not our physical body, but more our lifeforce - our character (if that makes any sense). When we become a Christian we are born of the spirit. The spirit becomes a part of our soul and this allows us to fellowship with God. It is our soul along with our spirit that goes to heaven, our body will go in the ground, from dust our body was created and to dust it shall return, while our soul/spirit will live on with Christ forever. Thus non-believers do not have a spirit because they have not been reborn of the spirit, but everyone has a soul.

Yes I am very interested in my ancestry. My grandmother has spent the last twenty years researching it. She had tons and tons (multiple filing cabinets worth) of info in her computer about my family history (I say mine because she not only had her and my grandfather's sides of the family, but also my other grandparents' sides of the family) going back to before my family came to this country (she had multiple parts of my family before they came to the US - my last name part of the family and multiple other parts that make up me...lol), but she mistakenly thought she had backed up her files and her computer crashed and she lost it all. Much of it she still has in filing cabinets, but a lot she had gotten from people all over the nation and in other countries and from public databases, so I somehow doubt she will ever get it all back in her lifetime. But I do know many of the countries that make up my ancestry.

Maybe someday I would consider it, but not right now. Who knows how active I will be on here from December to next August. Mayber after that if law school allows me to have enough time...lol

Although I feel really odd about your thoughts behind this question, I will give an answer...lol

I think that we have a spirit when we become a Christian. If your not saved (meaning a Christian) you are spiritually dead. When you get saved, you are reborn of the spirit and thus spiritually alive. So, no we do not have a spirit before we are saved.
