  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well definitely starting out I want a partner or even work for someone else because I don't think I could afford to go out on my own in the beginning, but eventually I do think I want my own practice and have a partner because I do intend to run for political office and it wouldn't be right if there was no one in the office (no lawyer in the office).

Do you believe that Matthew (from HS) will ever hold a political office?

Well I haven't talked to him or heard anything about him in a long time.

But to win in our area as a Republican it takes a real strategy, money (at least $50,000), and a willingness to work to get votes. I told him that the only hope he had was if he went out and spent the whole run up to the election knocking on doors and getting to know people. He didn't do it, he didn't have any money to speak of in his campaign and he had to no real strategy and he lost.

If he doesn't pull everything together and get out and work for it and build a base of support he won't hold office in our county. Now he could move and win maybe, but I think his personality comes off wrong win he meets people face to face.

And believe me a Republican can win in our county. There are more Republicans in our county that number of votes the top vote getting Democrat got in the last election. Not to mention all the people who don't even register because they don't want to vote democrat but they don't think the Republicans have a chance. If you can give people hope, they will turn out for you.

I have a plan to give people hope. The only thing I need to do now is get through school, start making money, start making more contacts, and initiate my plan into action. (Granted I tend to have very detailed plans and do not like to take unreasonable risks and thus my plan will take about 10 years from the time I get out of law school!, but I hope to be in office by 2024 or an election or two earlier, but only time will tell...lol, wow that seems so far away)

It will be perfect. We do know a little bit based upon how the Bible describes it, but a lot is left up to the imagination and I think anything we could imagine will not be anywhere close to what it really is. It is well beyond our comprehension.

If someone is in a burning building and they know they will die, do you believe that God would hold them accountable if they jump out of a window instead knowing they had no chance of survival (ie, 200 stories up)? Do you think that jumping out of the window was commiting suicide or simply deciding how to die?

I have read too many books to count, I would guess at least 200.

The last book that I have completed is "Cracking the LSAT: 2008 Edition" The last book that I have actually just read is "Modern International Law"
The book that I am currently reading for pleasure although I have currently lost it is "The Amber Room"

I'm not sure what my all time favorite book is. I suppose it could be the Bible, but not counting the Bible...my all time favorite book is....(I'll have to get back to you on this one...lol)

My favorite character from a book is.....Margaret Thatcher...lol

I remember these really short like 3-5 page books, they weren't made of paper though, it was like a plastic type material. That was a long long time ago.

With the exception of the Bible and the Downing Street Years, neither of which I have completely read multiple times, I can't think of a book that I have even started on twice...lol

There are so many wonderful authors....Margaret Thatcher, Zell Miller, Steve Berry, Dan Brown, Robert Whitlow.....and the list goes on...lol

I have 3 books by Margaret Thatcher, completed one, started another, and still looking forward to the third one. Working on my second Zell Miller book. On my second Steve Berry Book, read 4 Dan
Brown books, and I think I have read 4 Robert Whitlow books.

Statecraft by Margaret Thatcher, A National Party No More by Zell Miller (but so far really like a Deficit of Decency), The Romanov Prophecy by Steve Berry, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and The List by Robert Whitlow.

I use pieces of paper, receipts, envelopes....stuff like this.

I prefer paperback unless it is something that I may display in the future or if they are political masterpieces like...Statecraft, The Downing Street Years, A Path to Power, A National Party No More, or a Deficit of Decency. Pleasure books I prefer paper back.

My favorite bookstore is probably Amazon.com, although I like Borders too.

It is extremely important for children to be interested in reading. Children who read a lot tend to do better in school, it can promote independence or individualism, and it is a much better form of entainment than television. Books expand your mind (a lot of books do anyway...lol), you have to use your imagination or your own interpretation where as tv gives you that picture. I intend to read to my children from the beginning, then transition into them reading some and me reading some, then them reading, and then continue to promote them reading books. I want my children to be "well read" meaning I want them to know whats going on in the world (once they are old enough), I want them to have a large vocabulary, be able to think for themselves and come up with their own ideas. I want my children to know different perspectives and be able to defend their (not mine) their opinions against criticism. Children who read are much more likely to get farther in life than children who have little to no interest in reading. I think that parents have a duty to promote reading!

I do not think this is suicide. It seems to me that it is murder, whoever set the fire is the murderer. The person just chose their form of death and maybe even hoped that something down below would save his/her life. I don't think God would punish a Christian for jumping out of a burning building.

POTUS of course, he has more nukes to play with....lol, just kidding! But I would have to say President of the United States because I think I could make a larger impact on the world in that position, and my values and ideas are more in line with America. I could be more effective here. I love my country and will do whatever I need to do to make my country great well into the future. By the time I would be old enough to be President I think the US will be in going through an uncertain period and will need someone with a clear vision and give it hope for the future. By the time I could be President the US will no longer be the worlds largest economy and perhaps not even number 2. This will be a unique period for us and it will take some unique leadership to keep the US on track to strive to get back to number 1 in all categories. Although I do think that Britain needs a Prime Minister who will not sell it out to the EU. Britain needs a Prime Minister who will re-chart the course of Britain's future. Britain could be much more effective in the world if it wanted to be, but the current leadership is pulling back.
