  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well I tend to use the KJV. My Sunday School lessons aren't KJV, but I read them in the KJV as well.

Why do you like this version the best?
I don't know, I just feel comfortable with it.

Do you believe it is ok to use multiple versions?
Yes, as I said previously all my Sunday school lessons are in other versions.

Do you prefer for your Bible to have comentary?
Yes, sometimes it gives me a different perspective and sometimes it clears something up for me.

What is your favorite thing about West Virginia?
Besides that it is the greatest state in the union, besides that it is the Holy Land, besides that it is so amazing, besides that it is a good conservative (although politically misguided) place, it is freer than most other states as the state doesn't tell you how to live and place so many restrictions on you like California, New York, and other heavily regulated states.

I would want to teach either high school or college level. I would want to teach political science/civics/history.

If you could open your own business, what would it be? Why would you choose this?
I think I might like to open a restaurant (in which my own farm supplies the meat) or maybe a Farm supply store or both would be really nice and that is my current long term goal. I even have a spot picked out.

Would you rather live in a rural or urban setting? What are the positives and negatives of both?
Definately a rural area. My kids would be safer, the air is fresher, I could see the stars at night, I could raise cows, negatives = absolutely none. Urban area= crime, pollution, disaster, noise, pain and suffering, but also could go to classical concerts (only positive I can think of right now).

What is something you do that most people would consider odd?
Talk to my cows.

What is your oddest phobia? Why are you afraid of this? Have you ever tried to overcome your fear?
Fear of others noing my fears....lol......NO

Well I have a lot of respect for McCain, but he is not a social conservative. From what I know about, I like Huckabee, but I need to find out more info on him. I am also waiting to see if Thompson is a serious candidate or not.

Why do you like this candidate more than the others?
Well, I'm not sure who is my absolute favorite yet, but I like Huckabee because he seems to be genuine and he seems to be a real conservative. He is a social conservative. Also he is the only candidate I know of that proposes the fair tax. I am a huge proponent of the fair tax and that alone makes me lean toward him now. Now the only question is, Does he have chance? The answer is: it is too early to tell, but he is catching on. The more I think about it and type on here, I think I am becoming a supporter of Huckabee (even though he is a Baptist....lol)

Why did you choose to be a Republican when you live in an area that is mostly Democratic?
I can't let other people define me. I am my own person and it is not a good reason to belong to a party just because that is the largest one. Zell Miller said that we must be intellectually honest with ourselves. And I know that the Republican Party is the best fit for me. The GOP isn't perfect, but it is so much better than the alternative. I am a Christian and the GOP is the closest thing to a Christian Party we have. The GOP believes in Christian values and the Democrats want to push them aside and let secular values always trump them. The GOP believes in people, they believe people should run their lives and should control their wallets. The GOP believes that people know how to spend their money better than the government can spend it. The Democrats believe that people are too stupid to spend the money they work hard for. The GOP stands by their principles and think principles are more important than winning every election. The Dems stick their finger to the wind and go in whatever direction is most popular at the time even if its not whats best for the country.

Now lets just look at West Virginia. What have the Dems done for us? We are almost last in every category. Thank God for Mississippi or we would be last in Education, we would be last in prosperity, we would be last....we would be last..... The GOP has not controlled the state legislature since 1928, almost 80 years. In that time what have the Dems done, they have let outsiders exploit us, they have divided us, they have slowly ate away at our values and are attacking Christianity. West Virginia is a wonderful place full of wonderful people. We are a conservative state. And the Democrats know it, they run as conservatives and make us feel they are going to work for us and then they get in office or go back to office and vote and speak liberally and sell our interests down the road. Rahall does this, Byrd does this, Rockefeller does this, Mollohan does this, Richard Thompson does this, Truman Chaffin does this, Earl Ray Tomblin does this, and the list goes on and on and on. They aren't making this a better place, they aren't working for our benefit, they don't care about us. It is sickening to see how they campaign and then how they vote!!!! They are a disgrace to public office and they are a disgrace to the GREAT STATE of WEST VIRGINIA!!!!!!!!!

I am a Republican because I want to make this state and this nation a better place. We all can do our part and it is our duty as Republicans to always be working and striving to help our fellow Americans and our fellow West Virginians. I am a Republican because I believe in hope. I am a Republican because I believe in fairness. I am Republican because I believe in this country. I am a Republican because I believe in people. I am a Republican because I believe in integrity. I am a Republican because I believe in duty. I am a Republican because I believe in families. I am a Republican because I believe in the future. I am a Republican because I believe in WEST VIRGINIA and that together we can make it the greatest place upon God's green earth, we truly can make it Almost Heaven!

What do you hope to achieve by becoming a lawyer?
Good lawyers are few and fair between. We need more Christian, patriotic, caring, honest lawyers in this country and in this state. I hope to help people and I hope that someday it will put me in a position to get into politics. In either law or politics I hope to accomplish great things for this country and especially for the GREAT STATE of WEST VIRGINIA.

If you were President, what changes would you make to our country?
Where do I begin. I believe the number one responsibility of the federal government is to protect the nation and its citizens, from terrorism, aggressive nations, moral decay, crime, and to promote prosperity, fairness, opportunity, and hope.

I will not go into great detail at this time since I spent so much time on one of the above questions.

Definately!!!, think of all the sculptors who have jobs because of all the statues made of him, think of all the sign makers who make signs so that we can name everything and our dog after him, think of all the construction workers that have jobs so we can build more stuff just to name after him. Without him, we would not have a headquarters for the coast guard in the state of West Virginia (even though WV is landlocked...lol) Without him the KKK would not be represented in the Senate. What else can we say about Uncle Bob? He is an extraordinary person and he definately makes life interesting. He is too liberal for my taste, but he has made contributions to our state no doubt. But part of the reason our state is in such bad shape is we have become addicted to handouts and we don't think for ourselves. No doubt Sen. Byrd has brought money to our state....a lot of money....but most of this money has not really helped us. It has just made us weaker in the long run. No matter what your feelings about Sen. Byrd are, there comes a time when you have to say is his mind and body still capable of serving in the US Senate. But alas more West Virginians would vote for Sen. Byrd in 2012 (even if he's dead) than would vote for Jesus Christ.

Did you know that I am actually related to Senator Tomblin?
You have my sympathy. God help us if Manchin resigns to run on the Democratic ticket as VP and leaves Tomblin to run the show. I doubt he would be elected to the governorship, but once he got there he might be able to make a successful run. Do you know that he always makes (assuming still alive today) sure that his mother gets a state subsidy for her greyhounds. Can you say CORRUPTION!!!!!!!

What makes an organic compound organic?
It is fused with carbon.

What is the oxidation state of oxygen?
zero

Does methane or pentane have a higher boiling point?
pentane

You fail....

Organics are characterized by carbon bonded to hydrogen.

And, the oxidation state of oxygen is -2... Or it can be 0 if it is all by it's lonesome. But, is that really going to occur in nature?

Did you say that you thought about going into the sciences? :D
