The great deception in my opinion is most of the christian world and muslim world believing that jesus came back to kill the antichrist who was actually elijah the prophet.

So the only folk who do not believe in jesus at all in any form are the jews. So what if a jesus came back desolated the temple area and then killed elijah then came to kill all the jews in israel who did not believe in him? To most it would look like elijah was the AC becuase of his miracles. what
I can to this realization after I read a hebrew interpretation of daniel 8:27 " and he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week. and during half of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblations to cease. and upon the wing of abomination shall come one who makes desolate until the decreed destruction is pured out on the desolator.
this interpretation came from a bible called the jerusalem bible. it is not the catholic version but the jewish version. I am not making this up. you may be able to find this bible at barnes and nobles. It has a white cover with a purple stripe and hebrew letters.

um, no.
if you understood what you were reading, you'd realize the 'wing' is not a wing as in a bird's wing... but the wing of the Temple.
many commentaries support this understanding.

When I read the part about the antichrist "setting up an abomination on the wing of the temple", I've always thought this may be a nuclear weapon.

says the true reading of the scriptures. if you were to show these to a child he would say yea thats another guy coming to defile the temple.
I say that that the second coming and the abomination of desolation are the same event. Go ahead and ban me for saying that. isn't jesus supposed to land on jerusalem and go through to the temple. there is no support for the messiah coming twice in the old testamant.
The only group of people who totally reject jesus as a whole are the jews.Do you know how hard it is to missionize in israel? therefore any deception that involved jesus in any way could deceive them if it were possible. the muslims could be deceived since they believe in jesus as a prophet. and any christian would fall at his feet. the only people who would not bow are the jews.
this is the event in which all true believers in God run to the safe place in ny state.
i challenge ANYBODY TO BURN THIS THOERY DOWN.

I think you may have forgotten why the two witnesses come to jerusalem , one of which is Elijah.
The jews believe that messiah will come and save them from their enemies .
Jesus is not going to save a bunch of unbelievers , and so enter the two witnesses.
And so the angel tells Daniel that at that time thy people shall be delivered . Daniels people are jews.
