  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Bible contain's a verse that state's there is a time to hate and to love.

Today, I had someone message me about how they were going to kill themselves. I truely, didn't panic, and didn't care. I've talked to this person before and it alway's has to do with money.

I mention this because I have a particular question and particular problem.

Out of everyone I've ever met in life, and I've read similar articles about people's life expieriences with other people, where people have hit rock bottom, and there is never anyone there for you. I've realized, When your doing well, people try to make you hit rock bottom, no one's ever there for you. I've gone through this with everyone I've ever known, and quite honestly, especially when you read The Bible, humanity's track record of sin doesn't paint any ideal relationship. I've tried being nice to people, I've tried confronting people, I've tried explaining thing's to people, I've tried ignoring people, and I've realized unless you are doing exactly what a person want's they hate you, look for someone else and eventually hate them also.

My question is, when exactly is the time to love in a world saturated with sin? It's like everybodies dead inside and if not they try to make sure you are. I though Love was suppose to overcome this, but when you try to love people, they take advantage of you and don't want you to have 0 expectations of them. I can't figure out how it's psychologically possible to Love people.

I think majority of the time lately, it's not psychologically possible to love people in a world like this and I alway's hear people talk about Love but where is it? Everything's inconsistent. I don't even see the point in trying to Love people.

12 Apostle's made the cut, and then one went to hell.my curiosity is, what exactly can The Gospel do in a world full of people who stare at screen's watching people who want to connect with people, who never wind up doing that? When I observe everything, this feel's like phantasy land.

No one I've ever known has done anything but complain, show off, want to be heard, want someone to do this or that, want someone to be like this, expect this, do this, and not once in life have I ever seen one thing genuinely motivated by Actual Love, and, to be honest I only feel like hating people anymore. I started out quiet and humble, and I'm starting to question, what is going on in the world?

Why does God want you to Spread The Gospel to people who literally don't listen. I've talked with many people about Jesus Christ The God of Heaven, and they listen ( because I've figured out something they can't argue with) but, it's like, it doesn't take effect. Nothing really get's through to people.

Everybody also classifier's people categorically in this world. nerd's, jocks, blah blah blah. why aren't people just people.

looking at everything people do, I can't help but wonder what everyone's doing exactly.

Hi @Jesusfann777888

I feel your heart on this matter.

My question is, when exactly is the time to love in a world saturated with sin?

It is hard to love in this world which is becoming progressively hypocritical, lawless, loveless, selfish and accusatory. Indeed, it will become worse than this as we draw nearer to the end! Yet the world will thinking they are making huge strides of progress to a better world and reaching "peace". Hah!

"And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold." - Matthew 24:12. With this in mind my friend, be careful you don't become so disillusioned with the world that you find one day that your heart too becomes cold. I speak not only to you but myself.

In conclusion, we must try to act like our Father, as the Messiah instructs us. He sends His blessings and rain on the good and bad alike, on the grateful and hateful. "You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." - Matthew 5:48

Yes, there is a time to love and a time to hate. But if we are to be made perfect, we shouldn't really consider the latter - as time is so short, and if we would have mercy for ourselves we should give it likewise.
-----------

I'm saddened when I read your post. Because of the place your mind is at, the fact that this world helps you get there and stay there so easily, and because I can identify with your feelings. Nevertheless, if we Christians succumb to the darkness and apparent hopelessness, then there will be no light and hope for the world at all. So we must "turn the other cheek" to all the negativity, lovelessness and lawlessness and say "we will remain positive, loving and obedient - whatever you throw at us".

In trying times of the heart, such as this time for you, think of New Jerusalem my friend...

One day, all accounts will be settled. The wicked will have no place to hide and evil will be routed out entirely. Righteousness and peace will reign and you'll have great joy within that Great City. You'll be surrounded by people who are guaranteed to all be genuine in their love for the Messiah and the Father and to you. You'll be able to leave your door open in full assurance and your neighbours are good and holy. This world now will seem like but a short bad nightmare and the confusion and frustration you're feeling now will be like a distant memory and impossible to feel again. A better time is coming soon my friend and every promise of peace, joy and safety given by the Father in His Word will be paid in full and in abundance! Think on this time when you get downhearted.

So raise a prayer of thanksgiving and rejoice in the hope of what's to come. Dust yourself off from the fallout from this world and put on the Armour of Yahweh (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Please read and meditate of Psalm 42. It may bring you peace.

Love & Shalom

From your use of the word Messiah, I'm going to be carefull with how I talk to you as I'm afraid of you, being one of God's Chosen people.

Your post is full of Wisdom, thank you. I should'nt be focusing on the negative.

The best thing I can say is we are to love everyone because they are made in the image of God, there is good in everyone. You get disappointed when people do not do what you would like them to do or what is best for them to do. You cannot let that concern you, you are not responsible for what they do or dont do you are only responsible for what you do and what God expects you to do is to love and help people to the best of your ability. It is not your responsibility to save people, it is your job to spread the Gospel. Only the Holy Spirit can save people and turn their lives around. So give yourself a break, stop blaming yourself for what others do or do not do and you will feel much better. Regarding people who say they are going to hurt themselves, do what you can to help them get professional help. Sometimes just finding out that someone cares will make all the difference in the world to them.

Yikes.

I follow this rule: you don't get to complain unless you're doing something to fix the problem. Make exceptions as you see fit.

Generally, nobody is going to help you. I figured that out at 16 as my parents where planning to move to Mexico once I hit 18. What about me? Good luck. It all worked out just fine for me because I had a plan.

Watch this video by Prof. Sam Vaknin about the crisis with the under 35 people: he said, "I must say that I'm shaken to my foundations."

Hah! My friend, I'm no one special. I have plenty of issues I need sort out in myself. In fact, I'd happily bet that you walk in a more worthy manner than I.

Nevertheless, taking me out of the picture, the fact you say this...

I'm going to be carefull with how I talk to you as I'm afraid of you, being one of God's Chosen people.

This will surely be noticed by our Father today. This respect you show Him indirectly in your words, though you may have not realised, is something precious and beautiful which honours Him highly, not me. You show a natural reverence for Him in this statement showing you are wise, according to the definition in Scripture. He will surely notice these words you have typed.

So I have a lot of hope for you. Even in the words of your OP, you have a good and well-placed heart. Someone I would be happy to live next to in New Jerusalem. Because ultimately you're only frustrated because you long for righteousness, and that's a very good sign. As our Lord said "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled." - Matthew 5:6.

It's not long now!

You know, it's refreshing to talk with such a delightful person, but, to be honest I think you have been too kind with me. I can tell you pay attention carefully to The Scripture's because your Word's reflect knowledge, extensively of reading them. You are wise, and I have realized Something from this Conversation, my bad attitude, and you have shown it to me through kindness. You truly are a wonderful person and my heart goes out to you.

Thank you for your Peacefull Word's, they were mighty in their meekness.Thank Messiah For you. Because of you,I feel like Reading The Scripture'S today.

Fantastic! Praise Yahweh! Then truly, His hand has moved upon your heart today. I'm very honoured to have been the means of how He reached you today. How good is our Father!

I feel that you have an exciting future still to come with Yahweh in this life, as well as the next.

Your words were very kind and really blessed me. I won't forget them. Thank you so much. It was a great privilege to be of some help to you.
