• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A thankful heart

God's free gift of Eternal Life and the simple way this gift is received, by trusting in The Messiah for Eternal Life.

For students (art) that will listen and like to learn (about art)

I'm grateful for God's provision. Grateful for how God has provided fellowship and friendships and unimaginable things since the pandemic happened. I'm grateful that the Lord has continued to have his hand on my health and has made changes in my heart towards others this past couple years.

It's been a bit of a rough year, the last few months for me, anyway. I'm still grateful. I remind myself that in this moment God's goodness is ubiquitous, and if I look it is. It always is, if I look. I'm thankful for that.

I'm making ham, turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and I bought a pumpkin pie. My sister is making potato rolls. It's only my sister and I, but I will share with my elderly neighbors. I'll cap it off with a nice Scotch. God is good

:amen: and that's great that you have students that will listen. A rarity.

I'm sorry to hear. Me too as far as the year, more so than 2020. But yes God is good.

I'm making ham, turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing
Yum!!

I will share with my elderly neighbors
A small gathering is nice, I will as well. It's wonderful that you will share with your elderly neighbors. I'm sure that they will appreciate it.:)

I am thankful for making through (most of) a rough year (nothing too bad just rougher than usual), for good family and friends.

I will be spending Thanksgiving with family. Fortunately I can easily drive to my parents' place. No need to fly.

Someone once told me to always remember that whatever/whoever it was that made things rough or bad for you failed. You are still here and still moving forward.

Hope you have good Thanksgiving.
