I just posted this idea in the self-esteem forum, and figured it's relevent to depression as well.
Recently I was talking to my mother about having low self-esteem/depression, etc. She told me about a simple suggestion that a friend told her about, and I thought it was interesting:
Find a baby picture of yourself (if you have one) and put it somewhere visible, like in your car, on the refrigerator, at the computer, etc. When you're feeling bad about yourself, take a look at the picture and ask yourself if you'd want the baby in the photo to feel that way. The baby is you!
This is an easy reminder of God's love for us. We should view ourselves as He views us, as children. I always feel comforted when I view myself this way.
I found this to be a great idea, hope it can help someone.
