Hello all...

I recently applied for a new job and have been waiting on them to contact me for a possible interview as I believe they will at some point. But at the moment, I'm in a bind...I had to rush off to work after church this morning and in my hurry to beat the crowd so I could get there on time accidentally left my phone in a pew and didn't realize it until I got to work. I located it on my Google account, so I know for sure it's at church, but the problem is I can't get it until Tuesday morning at the earliest because my church is closed on Mondays.

I'm really, really scared that the potential new job is going to call me tomorrow when I don't have my phone to take it and as a result, I will lose this opportunity. God definitely lead me to put in for that position, but I also know that our mistakes can sometimes cause us to lose opportunities that God wants for us. This was totally and completely unintentional and I'm so angry too because it seems like every single time something good happens, something else happens to mess it up. I'm also really afraid to trust God to help me in this because of something kind of like this that happened a few years ago...I just want to cry because my anxiety is through the roof....
Can you call your potential employer on Monday and explain your situation and possibly give them your email or another ph # as a means of contacting you if they want to do so before Tuesday? God has everything in control. If he wants you to have this job, you will have it. Keep trusting.

Another principle, one that has served me well, is that if someone doesn't want you working for them, you don't want to waste time working for them. So represent yourself accurately. Stress is not helpful in doing that, unless you are usually a nervous kind of person.
