To the OP: Great thread, thanks for introducing a fun thread, pleasant change to see a balance to seriousness and more fun threads!

I found that I could find those missing letters in those first 3 examples surprisingly well. Must be too much practice on my part, doing DS games like Sight Training!

That last example with the middle words jumbled up was interesting, I've seen that in e-mails a good few years ago. Apparently it's to do with the fact that the mind notices and reads the first and last few letters in words the most, and is able to work out the meaning there, even if the letters in the middle make no sense. Interesting way that the mind apparently processes information.
