To those in charge, can we take down some of the inactive "stickys" and maybe reduce some of the complexity in this sub-forum?
Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Or maybe some of them would better belong under "Ask a Calvinist" ...?To those in charge, can we take down some of the inactive "stickys" and maybe reduce some of the complexity in this sub-forum?
I'll see what I can do. . .personally, though, I rather like the "Just wanted to share" thread--that's the testimony of being led to the doctrines of grace thread, right? I'll see what I can do about the others.

A ruling has been made that all posts in CF ( including this forum) are subject to the Catholic/Protestant review committee at all times .
The practical meaning of that is that the Semper mods have no meaningful authority on any posts or threads that deal with Reformation/ Catholic issues.
This may impact on how or if you choose to discuss the reformation or the comparing of Catholic/ Reformation doctrine or history .

If there are folks lurking, the truth is still the truth and you cannot make the Catholic Church of the Reformation era look good at all. Its the most corrupt period in the history of Roman Church. What's up with that?! Exactly how does this work?

True, I loaned a copy of the confession to a friend. This person took it to a Catholic who was greatly offended by its "harsh" tone. I was questioned about this and simply told them to compare it to the canons of the Council of Trent.Oh yeah, and the WeStminster Confession isin't very kindly either
