A report on Miss Bonnie

Because so many of you have been so dilligent in your prayers I wanted to update you on my wife's (Miss Bonnie) condition:

We went yesterday to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia and met with Dr Kevin Judy. Dr. Judy is the 2nd Associate Proffesor of Neurosugery at the UPMC. Aparently more than well qualified.

Bonnie ideed has a Menningioma on the right side of her brain in the frontal - temporal lobe area. The one on the left side is too small to warrant any action. G-d has taken care of that one himself obviously. The one on the right hand side is
55mm x 70mm in size and must be operated on.

As it turns out the hospital and this very fine surgeon is on our Prefered Provider list for our insurance which means that this very expensive surgery will be 100% covered save for a $500.00 co pay which I am sure we can come up with.

The surgery is scheduled for July 7, 2004 at UPMC. Dr Judy will be doing a cranionomy. This is to say they will shave Miss Bonnies head of hair, open the skin, shove a muscle aside cut open her skull and remove the tumor. They will then put the bone piece back in and sew her back up.

The tumor has not inflamed her brain and is not located near the optic nerve or the spinal cord. This is a good thing indeed as it makes the surgery much more do-able. In addition there is a layer of fluid that has formed between the tumor and the brain and that is very good indeed. As Dr Judy put it he will just be able to peel the tumor off real easy that way.

What you can pray for in specific:

1 That we will be strong ambassadors to the wonderful miracles that Y'shua is providing us. That we will fearlessly witness to all those involoved in this matter that Y'shua is Lord and that it is he who provides these wonderful things for us.

2 That the surgery go flawlessly, removing all trace of this tumor and no siezures or paralysis.

3 That great blessings will be poured out on Dr Kevin Judy, especially that he have a season of rest and time with his family. After talking to his office assistant this is the one thing he lacks. Please pray ferverently for this man to be blessed.


What you can do:

If you have put Miss Bonnie on a prayer list or chain be it yourself or at your church or shul send her a card. Maybe if it is at your church or what ever like everyone can sign it. I am sure that will cheer her up greatly. Please for the love of all that is good DO NOT make this into some kind of e-mail send the sick lady cards chain letter. Just if you think of it send her a card to this address:

Also if you are led to actually pray for this Doctor send him a note or a post card or something, let HIM know he is being prayed for. I told him he might end up being the most prayed for Doctor in history. That seemed to set him a bit differnet. The L-rd has spoken to me clearly to pray for him too. Everyone prays for the sick but do we pray for the doctor by name? I would in truth love to see some come under the blood at Calvary through this.
