I am politically conservative.

However, if I were middle-of-the-road or politically undecided or independent... THIS is what would convince me to vote for Bush. No question.

I just don't understand how someone could not see abortion is horribly wrong, especially partial-birth abortion.

Well, it's kind of like asking "how can someone not be anti-war after seeing the horrors of war at a place like Antietam, Gettysburg, Verdun, Stalingrad, Bastogne, etc, etc...." Obviously many of the people who actually lived through those horrors could still bring themselves to fight, perhaps because they they knew that it was necessary to a degree, or perhaps because they just held those beliefs, and that's all the reason they needed.

Of course, the same would still go for the rest of us who have seen the sanitized versions of such events through films like Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, and etc, that still show how horrible things were.

I've seen plenty of "dead fetus" pictures before, so I'm not going to look at these. Yet I still think that it's foolish to have the knee-jerk reaction to them and forget that sometimes you really do need abortion.

Oh wow, that is so sad. i mean, i can't really speak, coz i've never been in that situation, but i think that if i had an 'unwanted' pregnancy, then my option 'out' would be adoption. i just don't think i could kill a baby, even a frog-like foetus, coz i couldnt hate it.

I mean, you 'hate' ur principal for giving u detention, but u dont want to kill her
You 'hate' the popular girl in ur grade, but u dont want to kill her

So how could you 'hate' ur flesh and blood enough to kill it?
Quite literally, it depends on you
Quite literally, you are it's whole world

i dont think i could do it, unless i wasnt of sound mind, which fear can do, sometimes. But if these girls are scared of hospitals, or blood and pain or whatever, then they are going to go thru that with teh abortion anyways. And if theyre scared of the responsibility of raising a kid, then adopt out. The only other reason could be that theyre scared fo their parenst finding out, in which case, if ur not mature enough to deal with that, ur not mature enough to be having sex.

I dont agree with abortins, i think they are wrong, but i would hate to tell a woman that she cant have one, that she MUST give birth. I'm thinking, kinda, young girls, who didnt want to be in that situation in the first place......

Nobody ever needs an abortion, unless allowing the child to develop (such as an eptopic pregnancy) will kill the mother.

Give me an example of when someone needed an abortion. 0.0000000000000000000000000000000001% of births put an expecting mother in danger.

You may think you know what people need, but I'll tell you what they don't need. They don't need to have sex out of wedlock. End of story.

Those pictures were awful and sad! I don't know if all of them were from abortions though. I know I would not have one and I don't like to see that happen to any human once conceived. BUT, I can say I would not judge those who have one. That is between the individual and God. I do let people know I don't believe it is right.

There are several cases when the mother's life was in danger and the child's. Heart problems is just one. I have heart problems. I know I would not abort even if it meant my life, but that is my choice. Trying to decide what to do, especially if you have other children at home, can not be easy. And there are married women who get pregnant even with contraceptives. And, what about the girl who is raped by her father and gets pregnant? Are you going to tell her she needs to, at 12 years of age, give birth to her child-sibling??? It is never as cut and dry as we would like it to be.
Yes, there are those who use abortion as a means of birth control and that is wrong, to me.
