We can also test them by the wording of them. Prophecies are worthless if they are not clear once the supposed event has happened. Most Christians will claim that various parts of the Daniel prophecy have come true. The problem is that there are several different interpretations of this prophecy. Just as the same "prophecy" of Nostradamus have come "true" several times so has the Daniel prophecy. If Nostradamus prophecies are not genuine then neither is the Daniel prophecy. Odds are that both AV and Aman will claim that aspects of it have come true. Odds are that they will disagree about what parts came true and how.

Life IS one continous chain. And it's marvelous by itself.

Just think about it....

Life has been here for at least 3.6 billion years.
In context of evolution, this means that your lineage goes back at least 3.6 billion years.

Think about it... not ONE of your long, long, LOOOONG line of ancestors died before achieving breeding age and actually breeding.

Your genes are the result of 3.6 billion years of survival and reproduction. NOT A SINGLE ONE of your ancestors died before succeeding to reproduce. If that doesn't make you pause and wonder in awe at that extremely poetic fact, I don't know what will.

If you wish to argue from emotion, I'ld say that that wins hands down. That is a lot more marvelous (even tempted to say miraculous) as opposed to the silly notion that some god said "be" and there we were.
