  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I saw it.

So justa, what is your take on embedded age?

By "embedded age" I'm assuming you're referring to the 4-5 billion year old claim concerning the earth. I tend to accept that. There's an interesting read by Gerald Schroeder which gives one point of view in reconciling a 6 day creation with the 4-5 billion year claim. It's been quite a while since I read his take on creation, but it looks at it from a theory of relativity/quantum view. So, personally, I lean toward the 4-5 billion year age of the earth, the 13-14 billion year age of the universe. I tend to reject the view that God created everything in 6 literal days, not that He couldn't do it.

Explain this former state.
It was somewhat like the future coming in the bible. It also allowed for all things in Genesis to be very true. Beyond that you are on a need to know basis.
Rather before or after this absurd "former state", it still shows evolution.

The evolving after the state change ( I assume the change was over a century after the flood) was slow..just like today.

Provide evidence for a former state. Scientific evidence.
Provide evidence for a same state past. Scientific evidence. You see all the evidence is at least as much mine once we stop coloring and tainting it with your beliefs.

God's word is in the earth, the physical evidence he provided for us to examine and understand.
No. That is temporal His word is eternal. Gottcha.

That physical evidence is uncorruptible by man, conversely, those writings by man is fallible.
No, not when God inspired them.

What is it about humans that make them unable to be fossilized?
How would we of this state know?? I could speculate but why bother? I suspect there could be some connection to diet. For example the army of creeping thingies that ate the remains of the dead may have been more susceptible to fossilization.

What experiments have been run to determine the extent into the animal kingdom that this unfossilizability is prevalent?
What lab was there in Noah's day? Remember your immense limits.

What is in the bones of the animals that fossilize and is absent in the bones of humans?
Work on tenses. We are talking about the former state not now.

I suspect that another factor is that God had certain creatures specialize in disposing of the remains of certain other creatures. Foe a glimpse from this present time and state into what that may have been somewhat like, google snotworm.

Some animals and plants are fossilized in separate layers than other animals and plants. Why weren't these animals and plants able to fossilize in the same layer since they came into existence and lived at the same time?

See above. God's disposal system may have combined with a more rapid decomposition after death and other factors for some creatures. Why pretend we should know all this?? Humble down.

What is it about the speed of plant growth and the evolving of animals that affects the thickness of the sedimentary layers or the speed at which the sediment is deposited?

Trees could grow in weeks. Animals and man could evolve very fast also, possibly on their feet while alive rather than the present state method of offspring evolving!!?? (or both)

Many on this site claim His word and don't deny creation by God. They just differ with you on the mechanism employed by God to do the creating.
We do not know the mechanism, so they need not bother differing. They must agree it was really created.
