People like Split Rock, sfs, and others have put up with my Thalidomide points a lot longer than others have without storming off.

Nice try at dismissing the discussion. I am not accusing you of being cruel or even reporting you. I think people here should have thicker skin or at least hit back, but that's just me.
However, you ignored the rest of my post:

Looks like it [the actions by Francis Kelsey] actually vindicates scientist even if other scientists developed the drug.
Is pointing out this mistake your way of saying that all the biologists, paleontologists and geologists in the world are mistaken in their interpretation of the evidence they use to conclude that evolution occurred and the earth is actually very very old?

Adding to that question:
You have agreed with my summary that the Thalidomide issue was one of a scientist trying to keep a drug company from distributing that, as it turns out harmful, drug in the US. So, why do you bring it up as if it is some kind of vilification of scientists in general?

Compare this to some accidental cases of deformity that occurred due to incomplete research, which only ended up making people aware of necessary precautions in the end.

Big difference between "I made a mistake, therefore I will kill everyone" and "We accidentally deformed people and it was a horrible mistake that we learned from"

I was not discussing Thalidomide itself but AV's reasoning for bringing it up. He obviously has been doing so for quite a while and will likely do it again out of forgetfulness. Do you have any problem with him explaining his reasons for such?

but, taking away Thalidomide, would be taking an important arrow out of AV's quiver. At least, he thinks it is important.
