CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes. God is the judge, and thank goodness! It is ok to debate, but saying someone will be sent to Hell for something is not something we can, or are even allowed, to do. Truth would get nowhere if people were so closeminded. We have the parable of the talents, and so we will be rewarded by what we get from what we start with. And, only God knows that.

Wasnt it on this thread that I saw someone trot out some lengthy equation to explain if the moon was or was not closer to the earth in the past?
I have a question. Is the Moon actually moving away from the earth as is proposed in the beggining of the thread? If anyone can answer this could you please add your source?

The Moon is receding from the Earth at about 3.7cm per year. This is measured continuosly by timing laser reflection from mirrors placed on the Moon. Just Google for this.
