  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Know a Soldier, Airman, Sailor, or Marine that you'd like me (and others, I'm sure) to pray for? Please list them here, along with their rank, branch, current station (if known), and what their task is at the moment.

If you would like us to remember the families of the Fallen, please indicate them as well.

God Bless!

EDIT: We will also pray for our allied Brothers in Arms and their families. London, in light of the recent attacks, is in our prayers! God Bless you all.

please pray for my little brother, rusty white, wherever he may be in iraq, and for his fellow seabees who made a choice so we have the freedoms we know. and pray for those of us left behind to be as strong as the those who serve are.
and please pray for people who don't understand that the men and women who do these courageous deeds do it not for recognition or glory, but to help find a peace for all the world and everyone, EVERYONE in it.
thank you so much.

Daddy, thank you for Rusty and men like him who serve our country. Please give him and his comrades protection from enemies in any realm.

and pray for those of us left behind to be as strong as the those who serve are.

Indeed. Daddy, we pray for the ignorant and the craven. In Your name, Amen!

From the above article:

Master Sgt. Kenneth E. Hunt, Jr., 40, died Wednesday at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Hunt died from wounds received July 24 when the vehicle he was riding in struck an anti-tank mine while conducting combat operations against insurgent force in Al Taqaddum, Iraq.

One of our Marines died this week, after suffering some really bad injuries and burns a couple of months back. I am asking for prayers for his wife and children and of course the rest of his family. He was about to retire, but had volunteered to go back to Iraq. It is a heartbreaking story and I will forever be grateful for his sacrifice and for his love of his country and corps. May God bring peace to his devastated family.

Please pray for the following:

Hey, thank you all for defending this country. Because of you all I have decided to join the Marine Corps. First thank you goes to my precious brother, HM3 Samuel Warner of the US Navy. And thank you also to: Chief Petty Officer Frank Easley USN, Seamen Jeremy Rosel USN, Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathon Kinrade USN, Michael Arrowsmith USN, Staff Sergeant Brian Maness USMC, Staff Sergeant William Stellmach USMC, and finally to my grandpa Don, retired Air Force veteran. Thank you all! Live long and prosper, and may the force be with you, always! I will pray for you all!!!

~S.Warner, USMC

(this is what I wrote in letters to the troops)

Everyone, please remember me in your prayers. I report to Army BCT in one month, and when doing push-ups for extended amounts of time, I get horrible headaches that set in. They can last from minutes to days. I have the strength and energy to do the workouts, but the headache comes nonetheless. Please pray for me, and I will remember the other prayer requests mentioned here.

My husband is leaving sometime in the next week for a work up on the Navy ship to get ready for their 6 month deployment..They will only be gone a few weeks, but I ask for prayer that he is kept safe, and that all of the work he needs to get done happens fast and is done right by the others that are working with him. Thank you for all the prayers!

Please pray for my Pop (or Dad/Father depending on what you say....some people have thought I was referring to my Grandfather when I said Pop....just wanted to clear that up). He's supossed to be deployed again next year. This will be the third time since 9/11. It's only for a few months each time, but it's still tough on the family. We have a great support system through our church and friends, but I know he gets lonely.

My prayers of protection and peace are with those serving our country and their families. May God also provide wisdom to those that are joining our armed forces too.:prayer:

God, Who dost still the restless foam,
Protect the ones we love at home.
Provide that they should always be
By thine own grace both safe and free.
O Father, hear us when we pray
For those we love so far away.

This is an alternate verse for the Navy Hymn. May God watch over His children as they are putting their lives on in harms ways, with no rest till the return. May their reflexes be quick and faith be strong, God bless.
