My problem is small, but a tough one right now. My 15 year old daughter is and has been involved in competition soccer since the 4th grade. She has always made the elite teams. My husband and I have just found out she will not make a certain team.

The thing is... she has been lazy and really let her skills drop and I can understand why she didn't make the team.

I totally believe that this is happening for a reason. I just pray and would ask for prayers that she sees this as something positive. She is dyslexic and struggles with self-esteem. I pray for this to be something to motivate her not bring her down.

As her mother, I need to "Let go and Let God". I'm having a hard time doing that, although I need to.

Thanks for any small prayers!

I just wanted to thank you all! There are so many BIG problems people have. I know mine is small. But I want you all to know that your prayers helped. I spoke with my daughter last night. She was really hurt. But all the right words came from my mouth. I explained to her that this may be a blessing in disguise. We talked through it and she gave me a hug and thanked me for loving her. I think I am just entering the parent stage where I have to let go. This is just the beginning of many hurts and disappointments. Your prayers helped!

Clayton...

Thanks for your words of encourgement. There are alot of success stories for those with dyslexia. It always makes me feel better when I hear a story of hope.

God bless you all
