I heard somebody discussing homosexual marriage the other day, and they brought up what I thought was a really interesting point of view for the whole matter. This person argued that we live in a polygamous nation right now. The majority of people who get divorced remarry (even in the church), which (unlike homosexual marriage), Jesus himself condemns explicitly.
Many people in our nation have had many wives or husbands, and we're okay with that. How can we be okay with that, and not with homosexual marriage? That doesn't make sense to me.
As I stated earlier, Jesus doesn't mention homosexual marriage, but he does mention divorce, and he isn't to kind towards it. Why is the church just ignoring this?
