The Bible says that by one man sin and death entered into the world. It also says that GOD was grieved by how evil man had become and that is why HE sent the FLOOD. GOD hold everthing togeather, it is man and sin that wants to be separated from GOD, and GOD does allow it and has made an eternal provision for such.
SUper duper, Little Nipper. But if i want to do something practical; find an oil deposit, feed more people, make a better medicine.... science gives the tools to make it happen.
Right now, Satan is in charge of this kingdom (though he has already lost the war). Might you really believe that such a hateful creature wants man to prove GOD? You do think that GOD hasn't allowed Satan to have any influence over man's imagination? Has not GOD warned man through HIS word?
You are right when you suggest that there in a proper way and an improper way to use tools. Can you not see that to view nature without the CREATOR would be a very wrong way to consider a nature HE established.
I'll rely on observation, then; the result of viewing nature With the CREATOR as creationists do leads to chaos, disparity, and variance; even just within the US Creationist movement, there is YEC, OEC, Day-age, Omphalos, gap creationism, progressive creationism, neocreationism. intelligent design... and then you've got "make it up as I go" local variants such as different-state past, and embedded age-ism. The real kicker is, they are contradictory and mutually exclusive, yet each one asserts 100% congruity with The CREATOR, and yet not a single one of them is ever applied to anything useful for doing anything practical in our reality. They each merely stand as assertions, only.
If you are interested in furthering the opinion that viewing nature With The CREATOR is the way to go, then put a helmet on, and get in the game. Take your pet hypothesis, and go use it to find (or make) some oil, or improve a crop yield, or alleviate someone's illness. But for the love of donut holes some Creationist oughta get off their duff and do something more than just blab on about it... As a scientist, I'm quite frankly sick and tired of doing all your heavy lifting, whilst listening to creationists carp on about what a bad job scientists doing. If creationists have got a better method, they're doing a grave disservice to their faith by failing to even attempt to apply it.
And since HE has told man why nature exists now as it is ------ would it not be wrong ignore such data?
"HE told" is not "data", it is "testimony". There's a difference, see.GOD isn't going to force HIMSELF on anyone ---- unlike Satan. Satan is trying to capture whomever he may.
If the chaos and discord amongst the various creationist notions is any indication, Christians ought to be able to make an educated guess as to exactly who he's captured.
