<DIV align=center>RELIGION IS THE ONLY IMPORTANT THING</DIV>
<DIV align=center> </DIV>
<DIV>Religion is NOT the most important thing... it is, finally, the only important thing. This is proven by the tragedy of the human race. Life in the world is totally unfair. Men and women may all have equality before God, but there is no equality in the society of the world. The rich and beautiful always have advantage over the poor and the unlovely. The sick, the deformed and the mentally deficient have it the worst of all - they cannot compete.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> AND THIS LIFE is a rat race, from dawn to dusk and every day of the week. The big, healthy rats trample over and even eat the weak little rats, and this never changes. The strong, healthy and good looking rats hardly notice the poor, weak and deformed rats that they pass by on the way to the party.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> IF THERE IS NO GOD - then men are just clever, costumed monkeys - and just like in the kingdom of the monkeys, they spend their lives fighting each other over food, sex and territory.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> The laughter of the young, strong and beautiful people mocks the misery of the old, or homely or weak people. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> DEATH is a stalking monster that will eventually get us all - no matter how hard we try to escape it. Death takes the young and the old; the weak and the strong; the nice people and the bad people - they (and we) are all dying.... and death rarely comes graciously, but usually comes at the end of disfigurement, fear, rage, regret, sorrow, sickness, weakness and pain.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> This life, as we know it and see it, is a cheat. If there is nothing more - nothing greater - nothing more glorious in store for people like you and I than what we see going on, then this life has been a mockery of the human hope and heart from the beginning. All those that are not born healthy, smart and beautiful may as well not live at all - for except there be a God to intervene on the behalf of those who call upon Him in hope and truth, there is no escape from the misery of competing in this life with a handicap. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> ONLY RELIGION can any answer to this; only religion provides any reason: a justification for our condition. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> ONLY CHRISTIANITY really explains why we're in this condition, and offers us a hope of ultimate dignity, beauty and happiness at the end. Christianity supposes a sublime purpose in our slavery to to this sinful world - to produce those that have overcome it all by acknowledging the God of creation, and their end is glorious. Christianity offers and promises sufficient consolation even while we are still here, to carry us through this traumatic experience. We are not blind to what goes on around us - but we are sufficiently consoled, and are sustained by HOPE - not only of eventual glory, but of God's protections even while we are still here</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> You are about to enter "the adult world" - a place so much more hostile and insensitive than you knew as a child in your home with loving parents. PLEASE "go with Christ" as you go.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Likely, we will never meet in this life. This short note is all the communication you will ever have with us. We hope that this brief "meeting" will be pivotal in your life, and will influence the millions of decisions and judgements that you will be making if you live on.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> .......I am very much aware that some folks on this list are going to take exception to my use and promotion of the word "religion" - PLEASE, before you tell me all about what's wrong with this word "religion", request and let me send to you my [already composed] explanation for why I refuse to either give up this word or to sneer at it like so many do. I have my (good) reasons for protecting and using this word (religion), and I already know ahead of time that many will be annoyed at me for using this word in a POSITIVE way.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>(James 1:26-27 KJV) If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. {27} Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.</DIV>
