Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Gosh if y'all are this picky about non christians posting alongside of you, I'd hate to see what you're like if one walks into your church.
I do not agree. Nor does the majority of this site.Grateful? He's kept it up this long.
That's where you are mistaken friend. Many people have contributed to this site and I would have rather him sold this site than to do this to so many members.
He hasn't gotten reaction from most of general membership yet because they do not know what is going on.
They will though.
There are staffers that have given months, years to this site who now are put to a vote...
Give me a break. Do you think they are well liked by the majority of folks around here that they have warned?
Even so they have worked so hard that now they may loose their position on staff which becomes like a second job to many with many close friends.
Now modding is being given up to the heathens by most popular vote..
This place is a joke. This is now a secular website..
Be an honest man Erwin, and
Change the slogan
This is not "Uniting All Christians As One Body"
What a sad day!
It's sad that you have such a low opinion of staff, I don't know a single person on staff who thinks that being a mod makes them important or better than anyone else. Are they losing their friends? Are you not able to be friends unless you both are "important" or a moderator? There's PMs, email, IMs.... or do you need an elusive forum to communicate?
It is sad that staff thinks they are better than everyone else![]()
We're all nervous about change...but you saying I can't understand because I'm not on staff is like me saying...you can't understand because you're too young. You would be really offended (quite rightly) if I said well "You just can't understand how much better this will be because you're too young."
Our perspectives are different but they are no less valid. Once again being on saff does not make you more special or "in the know" than the rest of us.
Perhaps it would be like a loyal member being IP banned for quoting the Bible . If that is how they feel I would sympathise with themGrateful? He's kept it up this long.

How can you possibly know what the majority thinks?I do not agree. Nor does the majority of this site.
LOL..ya democracy..that ol thing..its worked here in the U.S. for a while now.....very good pointI know your not all that keen on the popularity contest but isn't that how we elect a Pm/president and nobody complains.![]()
There really aren't that many of us, you know. You all are the majority.
Good summary - that is indeed the idea.Sounds to me like the "new regime" will be the members at large, in each forum area, deciding how they want to discuss their topics at hand.
For example, imagine if under the Recipe Exchange the consensus of the members there was that there should be a subforum for sharing recipes for making wine, beer, and cordials. It is a somewhat controversial issue, with some Christians believing that one should not drink at all, and others thinking it's a matter of avoiding excess. The discussion about it would probably be long and convoluted. But if there was a clear consensus that the members wanted it, they'd probably get it.
But not even a thank you?
No site is 100% Christian. No church is 100% Christian. This site is still keeping its core values. The majority of this site, are true Christians. Erwin knows this, and trusts that the votes will represent that. That's what I thought as well...
Or have we been lied to?![]()
Yes I am dear, it's hidden. But you're not even a site supporter-- no refund for you![]()
CF is sure heading that way, isn't it? We wouldn't want to offend anyone by quoting Scripture or upholding a Creed? Naw, let's be post-modern and use reason and throw the Bible off to the side?Perhaps it would be like a loyal member being IP banned for quoting the Bible . If that is how they feel I would sympathise with them
OK i dont mind if a non christian post along side me... but what if a non christian came into your church and dieceded to be a decon would that work?Gosh if y'all are this picky about non christians posting alongside of you, I'd hate to see what you're like if one walks into your church.
