For that answer all I can do is show you Angel's post again. She is right on.
Is he being blown about the wind or being brought to a place where all can converse in peace and learn from one another and be uplifted?

A repost, but . . . .

Might Christians not be more cautious, more open and just in their judgments and attitudes towards the great non-Christian religions of the world if they were completely convinced of the fact that the Holy Spirit, who is revealed in and through the Church, is the free Spirit of the Lord of the whole world, who is revealed in and through the Church, is the free Spirit of the Lord of the whole world, who is at work where he wills? Might Catholics not be more restrained, more open and friendly in their judgments and attitudes towards the other Christian Churches if they were completely convinced that the Holy Spirit, in whom as Catholics they put, or ought to put, their whole trust, is also the hope and strength of the whole of Christendom and desires in freedom to be so? Might Church leaders not be more modest, more open and humble in their judgments and attitudes towards other Christians if they were completely convinced that the Holy Spirit, who is certainly promised to those who hold office in the Church, is not a Spirit of office reserved for the privileged few, but is the Spirit of God, who has been poured out in the hearts of all who believe and love and who acts and desires to act freely in all hearts and minds? The free Spirit is at work where he wills.

While we're using the Bible, I'd like to say I see these threads much like how Jesus ticked off the religious Pharisees in the Bible.... they sure did grumble.... so do people here. Shall I give references?
The Pharisees did not use scripture - they added to scripture and called it inspired. Jesus took us back to scripture.

Would you be as comfortable letting non-believers in the pulpit ??? Or teaching Sunday School???

The name of this FORUM is CHRISTIAN...

I think when people come here they have a resonable expectation of it being Christian... to me that has meaning... This forum is IN the world it does not have to be OF the World does it???

Again if we are talking about Mature believers it is different...

IS there to be NO safe place for the *Little Ones* ??? On a CHRISTIAN Forum???

The Holy Spirit is not a "free spirit". He is the spirit of God. But Kung would probably have a problem with that.

Go for it Leanna.
I am not saved by the law and therefore not a pharisee. I am saved through Jesus Christ, by grace not law.
Though everything is permissable for me not everything is beneficial.
Give your references and I'll give mine.

The guiding of the Holy Spirit is not tossed back and forth by the waves or blown by the wind.

I need a picture of a pirate ship, with a bunch of pirates partitioned on one side, and a bunch of people wearing church clothes etc partitioned on the other. And then the caption would say "all aboard the Fellow Ship"

oh man I'm lame...but I just woke up so get over it.

Great is he going to allow the folks from Westboro Baptist the same right? How about Jack Chick as one of their mods?

Yet Another Gnostic "Gospel"...

The "Gospel of St. Judas" will be featuring in the April issue of National Geographic.

Jimmy Akin has the story:
http://www.jimmyakin.org/2006/04/the_gospel_of_j.html

Interesting historically, it should of course be a non-issue theologically, as the particular viewpoint presented in the Gospel of Judas was, of course, condemned by the council of Nicaea over sixteen hundred years ago. But alas, already we are hearing that this discovery will "shake the foundations of the Christian faith". Ridiculous of course, but on the back of "The Da Vinci Code" thousands will no doubt be buying into it.

Of course there are already many Gnostic gospels out there, the most famous probably being The Gospel of St. Thomas, memorably portrayed in the movie "Stigmata". I could rant for hours about that movie, but suffice to say that even when portrayed in a highly favorable light, these gospels still don't really take off.

Learning from great faiths in the Bible and Christians I learned through media and local churches, I saw that circumstances did not control them; it is their reaction to circumstances that determined what kind of people they were and most importantly, how faithful they were. They made decisions they felt it is God's will however, circumstances made them change directions.

When I serve God in my ministries and witnessing, I look for opportunities that He had lead me to. I have learned NOT to ignore His the steps He directed me. He has a purpose that I do NOT know bu I am ready when I see the opporunity. If we look in Ephesians 6:15, we are to wear the Gospel of Peace so that we will always be fully prepared to witness. Faith is to let God do His work in His way in His time and will use US as He desires. Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." The Holy Spirit KNOWS every person better than we do so just let the Holy Spirit do His work. I don't and I will not claim to KNOW everything that God knows. I cannot and will not comprehend until I get into heaven. God will work different ways in each of our lives because He knows EACH of us personally simply because He created us. I have learned to "be prepared" wherever God leads me to as Peter said in 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."

Instead of whining and complaining, we are to move on and see how God is leading us.
