Come on people - this is a hobby. I know that a hobby can be time-consuming and take a lot of mental engery out of us but, please, can't we just make the best of it?

This will fail if we act like little brats. It will work if we are mature about it.

I respectfully disagree. It is easy to show God's love to the people who show respect to us. Balance, if one would call it that, is an eye for an eye, but Jesus taught us to love those who are intolerable.

Being intolerant of the intolerable is the way of the world. Loving the intolerable is the way of a Christian.

It seems this community as a whole has lost sight of that.

I was actually speaking of not tolerating nasty Christians, not non-believers. I have a high tolerance level for those who do not believe. I have a low tolerance level for those who profess Christ but act like Satan.

thats how its gunna be. the ppl who will now control the forum sayin they're bein driven away from Christ when someone disagrees with em. and all christian want to bring ppl to Him so they'll kowtow and apologise and pander. but that aint love. love is carin enough for someone to tell em how things really are.
thats the problem. its well easy to talk bout love everyone and then decide others arent bein lovin enough. to ppl that blieve the Word bein honest IS love.
theres been too many insults in this conversation from christians surely and there aint no excusin it. simple as that.

As I said in one of my previous posts, maybe you're not one of the people hurt by the injustice of previous rules, so you can't see how the changes are good, but not all people were as lucky as you. The previous rules and arrangement of CF were quite unfair to many people, and the announced changes are about fixing that unfairness.

Please don't generalize like that, I know a few non-Christians on CF and they are amazing people, who don't have any malicious intentions for being here. They are here because of interesting discussions and fellowship.

Yes, and I don't cross the street when I see a sinner coming either! Hey, how many rocks do you have in your pile? I have 28. I am saving them to throw at unwed mothers, homosexuals, and <gasp> ATHEISTS! You know, atheists deep down believe there is a God, but they just want to keep on sinning. They are so immoral and they are all communists too! In fact, that is what the whole Cold War was about. We were trying to teach those danged Commie Atheists a lesson and we did it too! Hey, are you coming on the trip to Russia. Those Orthodox really need to be converted. They have never heard the gospel! We need to hurry up before those Catholics get over there! We have alot planned. We are going to stand outside their 1900 year old church and preach the GOSPEL to them! We are going to have signs and T-shirts and EVERYTHING. Oh, yeah, and if we have time, we might help rebuild some houses while we are there. I think someone suggested that we visit one of those hospitals too. Well, we will see. I mean afterall, what is more important, right? Preaching the Gospel or visiting sick people and helping poor people have shelter. It is pretty clear to me!

Jesus has the power to hold on to them that belong to Him. Second, as vessels of honor, should we not act as mini-shepherds, and protect those babes from any wolves who come in?

Honestly, young Christians here have less to fear from atheists than from the in-fighting among us.

It's impossible for me to read all the posts in the 3 threads. Can someone post a nice summary for me here of suggestions (please, constructive helpful ones) as I value feedback. Once you post, PM me the link to the post.

I want to ask the members to give the other members some credit - I don't believe that members of this community will come up with rules that would hurt themselves. Neither would members of the community vote in moderators for their own forums that are going to be bad ones. At the start, popular people may get voted in, but after some time, it will be the members who are FAIR and JUST who will get good feedback and remain in the long-term as moderators.
