Some might only be able to access on weekdays -what a massive shock in store for some on mondayso how is all of this going down in the staff forums?
i haven't seen any sudden drops in the numbers, but i do understand that there is now a week's delay between handing in one's notice and it's taking effect...
Do you want the CliffNotes? I'll give them to you if you like.

WarriorAngel is on vacation for a week. I have no idea which way she will go on this. I THINK she will be on Erwin's side, though. That is my guess.
My concept is this. If you keep sinning and not feeling guilty, not remorsing that you are not willing to repent and change your ways, it is a "sign" that you may not be saved. That we should "not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." (Ephesians 4:30). You are saved when the Holy Spirit convicting YOU to repent and help you change your ways. If you didn't feel the conviction and didn't have the motivation to change from "within", then you will know that you are not saved. Repent is NOT an addition to salvation but PART of salvation along with Grace. This is a CONTINUIOUS sanctification process of repenting throughout your Christian life.
CF and Churches can't control sinners but God can.
Thank you for bringing that up!!!Did you miss the part of the new rules not putting any definition on marriage? If "you" say you are married, the new CF is OK with you using the icon. What you stated is not in agreement with the new, unbiblical vision of Christianity here.
And, no. I don't believe all who willfully sin accept that they are doing wrong and know they are not saved. Note the acceptance of homosexual lifestyles for both members and clergy in the liberal era of the Christian church.
It's interesting to me, looking at the last paragraph. You and many of those who oppose this measure wish us to understand that restrictions on membership and/or leadership, who may use what icon, etc. do not amount to a failure of compassion or love. We are to understand that you are loving and compassionate, even as you enforce standards against the objections of others. We have to understand a more nuanced view of love and compassion.failed in what way?
very easily, you just have to understand what real love is - and i'll give you a clue. The kind that is being talked about here and in the modern church where we need to be all inclusive to the point of rejecting doctrine ain't it. I would hope that Erwin, as a church elder, would have known that.
I have ran into teachers and preachers who preached against homosexual and unmarried couples living together, when it turned out they have their own "private lifestyle" that others didn't know about. Especially those who (pastors and priests) are predators to our children.Did you miss the part of the new rules not putting any definition on marriage? I don't know about politically correct. God didn't not restrict us, why should CF restrict us?Thank you for bringing that up!!!
The Politically Correct CF is here.
I don't know what they are, but if they mean that I don't have to look through 200 million posts to find out what's going on, I'd welcome them! Thanks!
I think Erwin is just learning from past mistakes.I am just concerned with the new definition of Christian... Erwin said he wasn't going to judge, but...
"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement." John 7:24
What does he believe it takes for a person to become a Christian again? If he doesn't go by that definition... how is he achieving his purpose?
Oh my gosh! You are from Wales. Okay, CliffNotes are these little yellow books that condense all the important points of great novels into about 25 pages. Every college kid and many high school students use them here in the USA so they don't have to read the whole book. Most teachers are aware of it, and they ask test questions that are not contained in CliffNotes to catch people. It is sort of like legal cheating.
Anyway, here is the short version:
Erwin had an idea and last night he published it. He is changing CF so that there are not forums that are closed to any member. He is allowing anyone to call themselves Christian regardless of how they hold the Nicene Creed. He is allowing that non-believers can be moderators. However, all moderators will be voted in. In fact, each forum will have its own rules and moderators as voted in by membership. There will be thread moderators and forum moderators and Ubermods who can mod the whole site.
Current mods will remain, but at some point in the near future, all mods will have to be nominated and voted on by membership to keep their jobs.
Some people are upset by these changes because they feel that chaos will ensue. They also feel that this makes CF less than Christian. They are afraid that non-believers will be allowed to persecute believers.
Others are very excited about the changes and feel that it will make the site better. They believe that it will remove the legalism that has permeated the site.
So, the great debate is regarding how this change will impact the site.
