xapis... out... it's Saturday people. Go outside.

Exactly. Its the 7th day Sabbath. Time to worship and rest in the Lord's love.

It just dawned on me that Irwin selected the 7th day Sabbath to kick off his new CF plan. Note the date today: 07-07-07

It's based on "who am I to judge. If you say you're a Christian, you are." That is not Biblical.
I think this is mistated too often in this thread.
It's NOT "if you say you are a Christian, you are one," but rather, "if you say you are a Christian, I accept it because I trust that is between you and God."

A lot of discussion could have been avoided if Erwin would have just / will just sit down and properly write IN ONE PLACE what the new rules / format will be.

His definition though of who is considered a Christian has very much shifted. And it's not based on Biblical belief any more. It's based on "who am I to judge. If you say you're a Christian, you are." That is not Biblical.

No one knows if a person's salvation is true but only God. My pastor says he is a Christian however, only God knows his heart. God knows who are His. We must openly discuss with all who will listen, treating all Christians as fellow Christians. Don't stay away from CF because there are so many hypocrites because we are one of them in this world while God knows our hearts who are true to Him.

As I stated previously, it does not accurately reflect the NEW mission of the NEW CF.

It should state somthing like: Uniting people of all religions or no religion as one body.

Do you see anything wrong with my logo suggestion?

I do. This is still a Christian board.

I don't think people understand that there really aren't that many active non Christians here. I was surprised at how few of us there were. If anyone can hunt down that demographics thread it would be helpful, I don't have a search right now...I let my site supporter thing lapse.

Well, first of all, "Christian" and "Biblical" aren't synonyms. And second, different Christians view the Bible in different ways. :)

a post from erwin last night........

But this might happen in GA, and that is fine, as long as the members of GA did the voting.

The idea is to trust the members to make the right decision for their subforum.

The rule - moderators can only moderate their own forums.

Category moderators can moderate the whole category (but all subforums in that category get to vote for a category moderator).

Supermoderators get to moderate the whole site - therefore the whole site gets to vote on supermoderators.

Based on the above model, it would make sense that only in subforums where there are a lot of non-Christians could a non-Christian be voted in to be a moderator.

Hope that makes sense.

Salvation Army leadership does not go to unbeleivers.

We have an unbeliever running our shop. Another helps run our toddler group. Another helps run our Jumble Sale.

Moderating isn't necessarily the same as spiritual leadership.

okay, I just read the OP,

I don't see that there is a problem!

I think that people are making mountains out of mole hills!

I think that we all need to sit back and let this "roller coaster" start...

those who feel they can't ride it, should step aside. Sorry.

I personally think that a lot of this has to do with the fact that there are people who want us to shut down..
WHY? because we make a difference in the lives of others...

Now with that being said, living a Christian life is not always easy. We are all faced with temptations and we all fall short of the Glory of God.

So... where do we start?
Right here,
Prayerfully consider what you should do.
And Go on about the business of life, making sure that we each take responsibility for our own actions and words.

BE BLESSED! BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS!

Maybe just one more time:

!!! LISTEN !!!

This is a time of flux. A time of passion.

Please. Try not to say something you'll regret in the morning.

Please. Try not to hold something against a friend that was said in the heat of the moment.

Yes, air your griefs, your jubilations. Just think first. Count to 10, and re-read your post before hitting submit.

quoted for super truth!!

You need those reps on brother!!

And what (as someone else said) would stop some non-believer coming on with a lot of friends, swamping the GA forum and voting for each other?

Note that you said to me "do you really think they will be modding congregational areas..no they'll be modding GA . "

Erwin's post above says something a little different.

Wow... Erwin, that is kind of a double standard. Everything is transparent and open and so why should the reporter have the option of not being known?

If someone is going to make a report, they should be able to be strong enough for the reporter to know that it was them who made the report and stand by the report they made. I mean, you are going to open it all up so that everything is transparent... then goodness, open it ALL up.

Thanks
