Nice to know that you know Erwin so well & how is future will come to pass.

And Jesus seemed to know that hatred of Christian was going to be common, and that struggles were good in building you up.

The only hate I see being directed at Christians at the moment is coming from other Christians.

The only hate I have had directed at me at CF has come from Christians.

This is the fastest I have ever had my point validated!!!

My opinion is that a Christian site should be moderated by Christians. Just my 2 cents worth.

The site no longer knows what a Christian is. Before you could check here: Be a Christian

I've never seen any reason why what are now the Open forums shouldn't have non-Christian mods. I held this belief even when I was a Christian. Even as an apostate, I don't think that the now-CO forums should be modded by non-Christians, but I can't wait to elect some non-Christians to the basement forums. A lot of the most Christ-like people I've encountered here have been unorthodox and non-Christians.

I think the reason it isn't that way now, is its an administrative pain in the knee, but with the other administrative functions going away it may offset that.

Erwin did not say that whoever self-identifies as a Christian is, in fact, a Christian. He said that it's not our place to judge and tell someone they're not when we really can't know.

I am glad that you pointed that out, birthday girl.

Am I the only one who feels like interactions with people with viewpoints far different from my own really helps me to more deeply understand and put into practice my own faith and understanding of becoming Christ in the world??

If my faith is such that others opinions and viewpoints cause me to become defensive--then the problem is with me--and I might be far better off not being online at all. I find it far more fruitful in growing my faith and maturity ineracting with others who do not share each and every opinion and belief I hold...as that doesn't allow for growth or a challenge to deepen my understanding of why I believe what I believe.

Amen! I've never seen you around CF before, but thanks for your input here. Your views are much appreciated.

BTW I love the Specials too. I was singing "New Era" to myself at work today.

I am not sure if allowing the atheists to post wherever they want is a good idea. I mean I see the point of allowing people to come to your church, but a lot of atheists just walk into forums wanting a fight. Not everyone wants to debate and I am not saying that all atheists want a fight. I am just a little worried with it, but not that worried. Now we will have more opurtunity to witness.

In my 18-28 group at church we were just talking about how more and more churches are becoming community centered, where things are voted on by the "people", rules are made more simple and less harsh. Where people come together to "discuss" religion and their interpretation, rather than being in a church to be taught from the Bible, the infallable Word of God and where rules are there and set by the Bible and are not changed. They were even saying that it's just straying more and more away from God and more and more on the "community" and to me that mirrors a communist society, which by what we've seen in history does not end well.

Members should not be allowed to vote on who's an supervisor or mod. It should be in place by the Admins and since this is a Christian forum, only Christians should be in the supervisory position. By allowing non-christians to take reign we are doing a dis-service to the purpose of this board... are we then going to be allowing non-christian to come into our church to rule over there? It is sad to see one thing told to me last night, then to see it happen here today.

Well, that definition is different than the definition in the rules. And CF doesn't really need a definition anyway... it's impossible to make one, because each Christian defines himself/herself as a follower of Christ.

Looks like P_G and NewMan have a new forum. Cool.

I omitted AngelAmidala's name. Sorry.

Man, that's 3/4 of voting Alpha.
Interesting.

Around here, Christians are divided by defining Christians based on their own doctrinal teachings.
