I could use some special prayers.
I feel like I'm being attacked physically and emotionally right now!
Hi!
I think not being able to sleep is literally a nightmare. And, I'm really not trying to make a pun. There is nothing worse than sleep deprivation, in my little opinion.
I have heard that a spray bottle filled with plain old water works on barking dogs. Spray it in their face, and they quit barking, and it doesn't hurt them at all.
Otherwise, call the police. They don't mind, and that's what they're there for! If your neighbors don't care to be considerate, don't wait for them to grow up. Everyone needs sleep!
J and BW and whoever else plays doctors on TV...
Yesterday during PT my arm felt like it was going to pop out of the shoulder socket twice. The therapist said to stop doing that exercise! Painful and left my arm very sore. Why aren't my ligaments holding my arm in there better???
Yes I saw the doctor once for each arm! I originally saw him because the right arm had frozen up. He sent me to PT for that. It became sensitive and I babied it and that is what caused it to freeze up. It is better - no pain and it has better range of motion now although I still can't put it behind my back well.Because we ain't that young anymore, my friend.

I have the same type of injury to my right shoulder. It just isn't healing up well.
Sounds to me like the PT is a bit too rigorous, and maybe you strained a ligament further. I doubt it's torn or anything, just needs to be babied a bit more. Are you stretching it out before and after?
BTW, do some stretching 30 and 60 minutes after PT, too.
Have you seen the doctor about it?
Yes I saw the doctor once for each arm! I originally saw him because the right arm had frozen up. He sent me to PT for that. It became sensitive and I babied it and that is what caused it to freeze up. It is better - no pain and it has better range of motion now although I still can't put it behind my back well.
Then the other one started hurting - not frozen up like the other one was - except that I can't put it behind my back at all - and there is pain with movement. So he said to try therapy on this one too for awhile. The only other recourse is surgery - and I didn't want to do that - but honestly it's looking pretty good now.
They make me warm up the arm before doing any exercises. Afterwards they ice it down and put electrical impulses to help with pain. I haven't done any stretching afterwards.
I go back to the doctor after two more sessions.
Happy--she reminds me of this ecentric aunt I had,, have you seen the movie "A trip to
Bountiful"?
