A Need To Process Our Experiences

Hey, I want a camo outfit like this!!
I would wear it to a formal dinner, too...I went to like the most fancy bat mitzvah in a denim dress.
I was mad that the hubby would not get me something nice, so I wore that.

I LOVE that outfit CM!

My brother is down for the opener of Bow season (deer hunting with a bow and arrow). He, my Dad and M are going out on deer stand in the morning.

We were just talking about my joining them black powder hunting this winter and I said I didn't think I'd have time.

It would be SO funny to show up at my Dad's on the first day of season in an outfit like that, my hair all done up with make up on, lots of perfume and say "okay ready to go!"

I'm a closet Bambi lover too! I say closet because my family is very into the hunting/fishing stuff. I went black powder hunting twice in my life and both times I pretended to get "buck fever" so I wouldn't have to shoot...how very dishonest of me eh?

I just couldn't bring myself to shoot Bambi's Dad!!! I'm surprised they even ask me to go anymore, but they do every single year hoping I'll say yes.

I went duck hunting with my middle brother one time.(I have 3 older brothers, 1 older sister...I'm the baby in the family.) Anyway we were out on the point on the lake that my parents live on and ducks kept flying over and my brother would say okay now get ready and shoot!! And he'd go bang, bang, bang. A couple would fall and his dog would go out. He'd look at me and say okay Cass ya gotta pull the trigger okay? It went on like that all morning.

He finally told me we weren't moving until I at least tried to shoot at a duck. It was SO funny, right after he said that a duck came swooping in and landed by one of our decoys...lol. I aimed, shot, and MISSED 3 times before the 4th shot finally got it. And I kid you not it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. LOL.

My brother and by that point my Dad were both standing there in shock. Then they just started roaring with laughter! My Dad could not believe that the duck just sat there and let me shoot at it like that...lol. My brother said "I just witnessed a duck suicide." Oh my goodness I was so excited that I actually got a duck I didn't care! We could leave and go home finally.

So we all walked up towards the house, my Dad and brother with their arms full of their limit and me with my one Mallard death by suicide duck.

I went one more time with M out on the pond we live on but we did more arguing than anything (that was 2 weeks before I moved out with the girls). I never did go back to duck hunting. I'm just not a hunter. I enjoy the venison and well the spoils of their hunting but I'm just not into killing things ya know?

Off to the fair today so I won't be on much. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!

Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you my daughter was in the hospital fighting for her life. fever was 44.9 she flat lined. She just got home. She is still sick. Please keep her is your prayers. Please and Thank You.

That does sound tiring... I'll bet you will really enjoy all the extra space. Do you do all the work yourselves?? That saves a lot of money!! The only thing is that with my dh... he always leaves the project 90-95% done and never has the time to get back around to finishing it... so there are little bits of many projects left to do.
