  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A little bit worried...

Ok, so yesterday i noticed that i had bled a little bit. It wasn't much, but it was enough that i noticed it.
I was really worried about it, but it stopped yesterday. Then today I had even less (I didn't notice it on my underwear but when I went to the toilet I noticed it).
Is this normal... should I be concerned???

I was a mess yesterday... I broke down when i saw the blood (which wasn't good as I was at work). I was so scared.

This is my first pregnancy so I don't really know if this is normal for me.

I am just really worried... but I don't want to make a huge deal out of it if it is nothing... ugh... :sigh:

 angelsgirl, it can be a really common occurrence in pregnancy - my cousin and a friend I know have both had bleeding in pregnancy and their babies are now in the world and perfectly healthy. So don't worry too much.

But I really recommend seeing your doctor or obstetrician about it because while it is common - it is never normal. Your baby is probably fine, but if you go in and see the doctor you will be able to know for sure and put your fears to rest. Your doctor may do an ultrasound and you'll be able to see the babe's heartbeat.

It's only a real concern if the bleeding is red, you're cramping, and it becomes persistent.

I went to the hospital last night at 9pm cause i started to get some pain with the spotting. :( I didn't actually get looked at til 1am, i had lots of exams.
They told me they were worried about an ectopic pregnancy and they suggested i spend the night so i would be able to have an ultra sound first thing the next morning. I didn't get admitted to a ward til 4am... and then the nurses woke us up at 6am.
I didn't get into the ultrasound til about midday... but thankfully everything is ok. The baby is in the uterus, its heart is beating and everything seems normal.
They didn't tell me this til almost 3pm this arvo...
But i am so relieved that my baby is ok.

I am so tired though... i didn't get any sleep last night or today. But i think i am going to go to bed nowish (6pm)!!! I feel so lame!!! ;)

I was just about to ask this question when I saw this thread. I just took a warm bath after a long day, and noticed when I used the toilet some very light bleeding (like ultra light period days) - spotting. JIC I got a pad from my bathroom and put it on..

I've been reading some and it says that between a certain time period one can have implantation bleeding which can be light and like spotting or like a period.

I'll ask my MIL and am waiting to ask my mom ... we'll be making an appt for the OB very soon (maybe this will speed things along further)

My MIL is a nurse, so DH will talk to her and get the ball rolling so we can see an OB/GYN very soon (I haven't even got a primary care doctor here yet, just been here three months... not to mention I don't have my medical records...).

It was kind of like when you sneeze and are starting a sinus infection (IYKWIM), and happened only once. (very limited just one 'swipe')

On the safe side, I've got a pad on and am being really careful/observant and waiting to hear from MIL and future dr... been reading online late into the night and I'm thinking it's implantation bleeding, but to be on the safe side asked DH to push MIL to help get dr appt. (if any of this makes sense).
