4-Year-Old Boy is Getting Some Help After Writing a Letter to the ‘Bad Men’ Who Stole His Puppy

By Reid Mene

Ethan Ferrie, a four-year-old boy from the UK, just wrote a heartfelt letter to the crooks who stole his beloved dog, Fern, in April of 2013.

Now, people all over social media are backing the #findfern campaign in hopes of helping the little boy.
According to Ethan’s mother Jodie, Ethan was devastated about Fern’s disappearance. Since then, not a day has gone by that Ethan does not ask about her. Once he learned to write, Ethan felt compelled to pen his first letter “to the bad men who took Fern.”
In his heartbreaking note Ethan begs for Fern’s return and even draws a picture of his family, Fern included:

The note reads:
“To the bad men who took Fern. Can Fern come home now please. I miss her.
-Ethan”

Jodie believes their dog was stolen because of the massive spike in popularity for black spaniels, which occurred when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose the breed for their pet in 2013 (just two months before Fern was stolen). Amazingly, people all over Twitter, including some U.K. celebrities, have re-Tweeted the #findfern in hopes of reuniting Ethan with his beloved pup:

It’s not only people who are jumping on the #findfern bandwagon, but fellow pooches as well:

As of now, Fern has still not been returned to the family. However, they are still hopeful that they will find her.
