CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That is entirely too much money, but then again, the bureaucracy that is the US federal Government is known for its redundancy.
Still, I think I'd like to give this a shot. I'm not exceptionally good at politics, and if I screw up, feel free to let me know, but I'd like a shot.

Anyone know of any good news sites? I wish O'Reilly transcribed his stuff. I've heard it a general rule of thumb that if you have doubts, go with O'Reilly.

Whoever told you that was lying or very silly. Bill O'Reilly is a very interesting man to listen to, but he is violently biased against any one who is not a neoconservative, Bible Belt Christian. Do NOT make him your primary source of information. There is no such thing as unbiased politics, but know the bias. Perhaps I should give home work before we start

You seem biased against o'reilly. I can't hear him, so i can't make a grounded judgment. but i doubt it's that extreme. Following our previous convo on Gtalk, I believe the government should have integritywhich means they should operate on morals. I define morals as a set of principles which support life annd hold what-is in higher regard than what-is-believed. So if they ca tell the difference, I might like them.

No, we shouldn't. Not quite yet. Very close. Very, very close. But, we SHOULD be talking about what we each WANT to do. So, what do you want to do, if you were a backroom politician, what part would you do if it were your choice?
Dealing with party politicians, forcing legislation that works with you? Dealing with foreign politicians, making sure that America is doing the right things worldwide? Arranging how the President is seen by his constituents? What would you do? Everybody!

What do you mean, Why? Why do I want to be Press Secretary? Well, the image that the President puts on for the public is very important. If he gives the right impression, it improves his chances.
