Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I understand your POV perfectly, Nadiine. I used to share it. However, I'm not convinced that one has to be intolerant to others' beliefs in order to be conservative. I'd really like to find a way for us liberal-lubbers to get along with those who don't believe in tolerance. God will find a way if we are willing to do the work.

We now have members questioning the membership of FatherRick, BelindaP, and Freitag. Is this not against the rules here? We are not supposed to have an interrogation for new members. This is so wrong!

If y'all stand for this, soon, it will be YOU that is not conservative enough...

The divisiveness needs to end.

What is amazing to me is that one or two people are doing this and are attacking anyone who does not agree with them. They are not the majority folks. Do not be afraid to speak up. In fact, if there ever was a time to speak, it is now.

We started this forum and we made a distinction, a very major distinction between ourselves and other groups. We said we were going to be a forum of love. We were going to preach the truth of the gospel with love in our hearts.

C'mon CCC'rs. Something has to be done about this. This must end. I cannot endure this much longer and I know there must be others who feel the same. If compassion cannot be found in this forum, what is the point?

I am a like-minded Conservative. I thought that meant that we stood for truth and love! Not one or the other, but it must, must, must be both or we are NOTHING!

I just cannot believe the spirit of divisiveness that has come upon this forum.

This continues on and on. There is not a single thread that it does not happen in now.

You guys, I would just as soon as go join OBOB than stay here like this. Yet, I am stubbornly staying because I know that the Spirit of Divisiveness wants me to go!

I am just torn into pieces over this. I just cannot believe this is happening.

Since you are standing members or asking to be, i would like to ask you to account for your theology if you actially believe this as you claim... not that im questioning your honesty at all, i just dont understand.

you havent addressed this
If you take this literally as you claim, why is it you would allow people who are not delivered of demons yet to join, and NOT stipulate that they be christians if they become delivered ? By doing this do you consider yourselves as a ministry team to be negligent and destructive in causing them to become worse off than they were when they joined you?

Luke 11
24When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

That's the problem, I have TRIED getting along with them, but their theology is directly opposed to what I find clearly stated in scripture.

And I don't apologize for it either, and I'm not going to be a "libber lubber". I don't apologize for that either.
I don't hate people, I just dont' unite with them all; namely spiritually.

but you havent posted here that ive seen since ive been here, and frankly mac, though i have nothing against you personally, i dont consider your theology to be conservative. Now though, all of a sudden you are posting here again and 2 others are joining for what seems to me to be political reasons to silence a voice against your agenda and to influance this forum more to the left... Cant help my opinion sis but i do love you

Macrina was here in the very beginning. She has been a member since its creation.

I think you are wrong in portraying your opinion on the occult refuge forum as "conservatism" and painting those who disagree with your view on the forum as liberals. Even if their oversight is not adaquetly prepared, or not specific enough in its guidlines (which I am allowing merely for the sake of the point) this doesn't make it "liberal" it just makes it poorly designed. The guidlines that they have stated fit well within the boundries of 'conservative'. Leaving something up to the discression of the staff is not conservative or liberal.. it may be ill advised, but its not an issue of right wing or left wing etc.

QFT.

Macrina and I tangled over the issue of women's ordination when we first started the forum, but I would not remotely call her left wing, or imagine that she would deliberately allow occult infiltration of the site, nor that she is stupid, or naive.

Thank you.

You may not be "trying" to do this Mac, BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS when liberals join the mix - it pushes out those who are not.

Who is the liberal joining the mix?

It's not the issues, sweetie, it's the attitudes.
Not yours, specifically, just the general defensiveness and unwillingness to listen.
:(

QFT

Color me confused.

Do you even know anything about her theology?

Well, the only major interaction we've had was in PM exchanges in which I spoke to him about my desire to restore the Nicene Creed as a statement of faith for the site. I'll leave the implications to you.

Time, lemme ask you a question: do you think it's possible that God has led people here?

Cos, really, the God I know is more than beautiful enough to do that.

He wants them here, who are we to disagree. If He wants them here, the more the merrier.

It doesn't mean any of us are compromising the Lord, or compromising our theology, it means we are acceding to God. I'd sooner follow Him than my own fleshly suspicions, tbh :)

Why is it that suddenly the entire staff of the occult recovery forum are now joining ours?

Is it because we are the loudest voice questioning your abilities and qualifications and method and you want to change that?

Dont fear repercussions, i hold nothing against you personally, and i DO understand everyone has a political agenda... i just honestly want to know given the stance and views of a lot of us here
Again, not a member here so please delete if inappropriate.

1. I was one of the very first members of this forum and very excited about it. However, it became a little clear that this was more a spot for those both theologically *and* politically conservative. I didn't feel real comfortable with some of the threads, so I simply asked if that's how it was going to be. It was, so I said cool and left. I never threw a fit demanding nobody talk politicals or anything. The forum and I just weren't a good fit and so we went our separate ways.

I do hold to every one of the CC theological statement of belief things, though.

That's neither here nor there. The reason you have seen me in here twice (now 3 times) posting to you is because you were saying things I felt shouldn't go unchallenged.

If you continue to discuss things in a manner that totally misrepresents the facts and it in any way concerns me, I will continue to challenge your errors.

But I am in no way trying to infiltrate your forum and make it liberal. I would never do such a thing as totally misrepresent or lie about my true self.

are you allowed to debate or discuss here CaDan??

Yup.

Rule 1.5 and the conjunctive "or."

Anyway, I hvae had a few productive and thoughtful conversations with Macrina around the site and her theology seems to fit into the ill-defined "conservative" camp on matters such as proper gender terms for the Deity and soteriology.
