Mac let me ask you the same question i asked belinda if you dont mind

What is your opinion as to why all 3 of you suddenly choose this time to join?

Also do you believe this scripture literally? If not what is your take on it?

if people wanna make a conservative forum more liberal, why don't they just join a liberal forum instead? the more conservative christianity gets, the more difficult it probably is for people to see christianity for what it is: tough stuff, not pick and choose stuff

sorry but i don't wanna be involved in most debates when things get ugly; i don't care to be reported; or to be on any receiving end of acrimony; that's all, i've seen arguments fly left and right (no pun intended) on so many places here at foru.ms...heck, that "christian philosophy and ethics" forum really gets feisty sometimes

To my knowledge, none of the three listed mods of BeMi (Nobility, AdJesumParMariam, and boughtwithaprice) are members here.

Constance and I are chaplains there. I'm a long-time member here and Constance, while quite conservative enough for membership, hasn't even posted here to my knowledge.

What can we do to preserve the right of conservative Christians to join this forum without being harassed?

I do not know how, but I agree that something needs to be done. I am just sick at what has become of this forum. Where did the love go?

I agree the timing is suspicious, which is why I created the thread I did. I can't always help God's timing on things. He chose yesterday to show me which way to go.

Well, he's not going to move the forum more liberal. He's an Old Catholic priest, for heaven's sake.

The issue is the impact of toleration of liberalism - not that people change doctrine here.

Now based on your answer

If you take this literally as you claim, why is it you would allow people who are not delivered of demons yet to join, and NOT stipulate that they be christians if they become delivered ? By doing this do you consider yourselves as a ministry team to be negligent and destructive in causing them to become worse off than they were when they joined you?

I was a member here when CC started. So this "all three of you" business needs to stop.

Father Rick (according to hearsay, I didn't get this straight from him) joined because he wanted to respond to you within the rules of the forum.

Belinda wants to join because in the course of spending more time here, she discovered that she actually wanted to be a part of this forum.

Freitag is not staff at BeMi, so I don't know if she's one of the ones to whom you refer.

I didn't tear into anyone belinda - she's a part of this entire issue too - If I wanted to "tear" into someone, I'd do that and you'de know what it was.

That was an honest comment becuz of a previous post she posted in reply to me - I'd ask her the same question

I'm not here trying to insisting that anyone should change. Or bend their beliefs to mine. Espcecially when it comes to scripture. I was in a spiritually abusive church that would pick small pieces out of the bible and use them to make it say something different to what the words left in the original context would mean, it totally stuffed up my head for a long while

Lots of soul searching over the last few weeks, and realised that I am not a liberal christians, and read over the CC statement of beliefs and realised "Hey I can agree with this" no ands ifs or buts


I'm still not sure that this is the right forum for me, But it seemed to me to be dishonest to hold a membership over at WWMC if I couldnt really agree with it

but you havent posted here that ive seen since ive been here, and frankly mac, though i have nothing against you personally, i dont consider your theology to be conservative. Now though, all of a sudden you are posting here again and 2 others are joining for what seems to me to be political reasons to silence a voice against your agenda and to influance this forum more to the left...
