The article says that Hitler's scientists weren't real scientists. They were pseudo-scientific maniacs. That is what we were saying. Just because it called them scientists doesn't mean they actually were... It's sort of a figure of speech.

Woah. AV, this really ought to be where you say "Okay, I was wrong." You can still continue to say you don't trust science or scientists with as much orneriness as you wish, but trying to convince people Up is Down doesn't work where reality is concerned.

Germans were at the zenith of their technical powers, winning prize after prize for innovations and discoveries about everything from dyes to X-rays. But when Hitler came to power in 1933, pseudo-science quickly became the order of the day. - surely everyone here can agree that both religion and science can be misused as deadly political tools? The Nazi party sure did their share of attempting to pander to both, and doing a pretty poor job with both of them.

No problem; I have much more respect for someone who accepts the fact they are wrong and acknowledges it.

I am wrong quite often, it is part and parcel of the learning curve.
