A few tips for creationists.

One of the worst things you can possibly do is think about your religion, never think about it,
because if you start to think about it the next thing you know you will be analysing it,
and if you analyse it you will see it for what it really is, and it's best you don't know.

Learn as much as you can about evolution, because the more you know the more ammunition you will have,
then you can fight the evil evolutionists at their own game.

Stick to things that can not be proven either way, and always change your mind, it confuses them,
it's OK to make up weird and wonderful scenarios that can never be checked on,
and never worry about 'moving the goal posts', because who cares what they think anyway?

There is a lot more you can do to be a good creationist, but just remember, it doesn't come easy,
you will need to sacrifice quite a lot, and some people will still laugh at you, just stick with it,
in fact if they laugh at you, you will know you're doing it right.

Not even the atheists like you here, Consol... It's kinda sad.
That's not exactly true, it's mostly the American Atheists that dislike me,
and that's because I do not pander to the creationists,
as I said before, it seems that most American Atheists were once religious, (through no fault of their own I might add)
so they know where creationists are coming from, (indoctrination) the rest of us do not,
to us, creationism is just completely mad.
Stop posting this insipid threads that are devoid of content.
If it has no content, what's wrong with it? am I telling lies? am I not being helpful?
a person can either take advise or reject it, it's up to them surly.

Devoid of any meaningful content. You're not helping anyone here.
No meaningful content for whom? do you claim to know how creationists think?
everyone seems to understands creationists except me,
where do you begin to understand a religious nut? does it help if you were one once?
having never had a God, I certainly don't know where they are coming from.

I once saw a man talking to himself and hitting his head against a wall, they took him away,
but that doesn't count does it? talking to yourself is not considered to be harmful,
not even when they talk to an invisible friend??

And you think creationists posts are FULL of meaningful content.
So, because they have nothing meaningful means your posts are meaningful? Learn to logic [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]! You're using the same insipid tactics of creationists. There is no need for that from the "evolutionists." We have logic, reason, history, and physical evidence on our side. Resorting to such stupid means should be beneath us.

I sometimes wonder if consol is really a christian. Reverse Poe's Law?
That's exactly what I was thinking about some of the so called Atheists here,
they do a better job defending religion than some of the Christians.

Hey, consol, care to define evolution? Can you name off a few transitional fossils? Care to tell me why Lenski's research is relevant? Can you tell me the difference between homology and convergent evolution using examples? Do you know the differences between DNA and RNA? Do you even know what DNA and RNA stand for? Do you know why a chromosome having two centromeres is important?

I can't even think of a post you made where you presented a shred of evidence or demonstrated knowledge of biology.

Why are you under the impression that YEC is an American phenomenon? When I was in university a met a few YECs / I.Ders (one YEC was a close friend when I was doing a Ph.D).

There are a lot in the UK too, it's just they're not as vocal. So stop with this elitist "we in the UK are so much more rational" it just makes you look like a complete tool to people who know better.

Agreed with TemperateSeaIsland.
I had one as a housemate whilst at University and knew several more, all in the UK. In contrast the only US Creationists I know of are on here and other similar boards.
It was actually them that pointed me at Hovind (gave me many a laugh) and got me interested in following the argument (can't really call it a debate can we ;)) which resulted in me learning much.
So in a way, Creationism helped me learn in a backwards, roundabout kind of way.

I'd write about how his US bashing is out of order, but not being a fan of the US (or the UK, I hasten to add) myself, I tend to come across more critical than I intend.

Haha, that's a nice list. I may not even know all of those...

Evolution -- the accumulation of alterations of a genome due to imperfect replication which has the emergent effect of perpetuating the genes that are conducive to their own reproduction? I really have never heard it formally defined since I took Biology.

Tiktaalik is fun. I'm not sure if I know any others by name. Does Archaeopterix [sp] count? lol

Lenski doesn't ring a bell... ]=

I know this next one well: Homology is exemplified in the similarities between the limbs of bats, cats, and whales (I spoke about this in the OP). Convergent evolution is the evolution of similar traits in unrelated branches of the family tree. For instance, thorns on plants have evolved multiple times. So has the eye.

Main difference between DNA and RNA is that DNA is double-stranded and is much more stable. DNA uses a type of RNA, mRNA (messenger) to code proteins. (Deoxy-)Ribose Nucleic Acid.

Haha I know this one, too. Two centromeres means fused chromosome, and this comment is directly due to its importance in our own evolution. Chimps have one more pair than us, and we have a fused chromosome, indicating that somewhere between our common ancestor and us two chromosome pairs fuse.

So, how'd I do?

I like it. Just a nitpick, all forms of RNA are responsible for protein synthesis. mRNA copies the DNA, tRNA grabs the appropriate amino acids, and rRNA puts the amino acids together into a protein. And Archaeopteryx is most definitely a transitional fossil. By the way, Lenski was a researcher who documented E. coli evolution in a lab. When he published his results conservapedia threw a fit. The incident is documented here.
