  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Good evening everyone,

So here is my testimony:

I was born in a non practicing Christian family (this is how they describe themselves), I had Catholic teachings but I only went to church with my school and I've never been very attracted to churches :o

Then I slowly went away from church and any religious teaching. Last year, I met believers and I started to search God. I didn't know where to turn, Judaism, Islam, Christianity... Some muslims told me that the Bible was changed (only some parts...) so I started to read the Bible to see if they were right. And I was moved by the message of Jesus. And one night, I felt so lost, I didn't know which religion was right and which one was wrong, I didn't know what to believe so I prayed to God to help me.

And a few weeks ago, I had a dream in which everything was dark. There was something like a castle or a big black house and I was about to get in when I saw a light, it was very white and bright. Without noticing it, I looked down and I couldn't look up. I didn't see his face but in my heart, I knew that it was Jesus. I don't know if he talked to me, I just heard in my mind : There is something special in the Bible.
And I immediately thought "love". This is what is special in the Bible. I hope I was right in the dream ^^

I was really confused after this dream but now, I think that it was a sign that I must search more in the Bible to find the answers I'm looking for. I'm currently reading the Old Testament and still wish to know more about the Bible.

Thank you for reading :)

God bless you

Dear Aliya,

Thank you for sharing your dream with us.

It is really good that you started to search God. He always droves near to Himself those who look for Him with an honest heart.

You are right that love is something very special in the Bible. This is a gift that we can live in love. In the world there is a strong egotism, competition, hypocrisy.
It will be very helpful if you read also the New Testament. It is more current for our life. In Acts you would find what love meant for the first Christians. We should be their followers.

I John 4:16-21
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
