A different kind of Love!

Tomorrow may be the day of red and pink and melting hearts, but today (and everyday!) is the day of Love. In this spirit, I want everyone to make two lists:

1} What three things do you love about yourself?
(note: be shameless! self love is a beautiful thing! If you want an example of self-love from the Biblical perspective, check out Psalm 139)


2} Pick a best/good friend. What three things do you love about them?


3} Extra credit list! What three characteristics of God do you love (as if there are only three )

This is a wonderful idea missju!

1)What I love about myself-
* my laugh-it isn't very lady like as I inherited my father's laugh. When I laugh, you tend to know it, where ever you are!
* my heart-it's been broken a few times, but it keeps tickin'! No really, having my heart broke has helped me be able to reach out to others with understanding.
* my freckles-I have lots! They have faded as I have gotten olderm though. I used to have a family member that told me my mother left me out in the rain as a baby and I rusted. That's a pretty traumatic thing to tell a child!

2) My Best Friend-
* She has stuck by me through good times and bad. She is there when I want to celebrate, or when I need to cry or when I just want to be silly.
* She tells me those things that I need to hear, not just what I want to hear.
* She knows all about me and still is my friend. She knows the not so good things and doesn't hold them against me.

3)What I love about God-
* That He loved me so much that He sent his only Son to die for me so that I could have eternal life with Him in heaven.
* That even in a time that I didn't want to have much to do with Him, He loved me so much that He wouldn't let me have my way.
* He takes care of me, in so many ways that I have no idea of every day. He is the lover of my soul.

Myself:
- I love the way I communicate eith my entire face, strange expressions and all. It's a nice way to "wear my heart on my sleeve" so to speak.
- I love my search for honesty and my ability to recognize lies from my own mouth or others.
- I love making friends easily.

My friend:
- Is encouraging in everything I do, no matter how stupid.
- Has more sense than I do and often gives the best advice I could ever get.
- Has a better work ethic than I do and exercises it dutifully. I respect this so much.

My Lord:
- He is never disregarding anything I do as meaningless.
- He follows me and is here for me even when I'm walking away from him.
- He answers every prayer, even the ones I don't know I have.

1. Me-I love that I love others so much! I love that I am a good writer because all these papers I am having to write would not be the same if I wasn't ! I love that I am always positive in any situation and that I have faith that God will always be there not matter what!

2. Jon- I love that he is self aware and knows there is always room to improve, I love that he supports me and encourages me to accomplish my goals (even when I don't feel like it), and I love that he accepts me for who I am flaws and all.

3. God-He loves me and blesses me even when I haven't talked to Him in days...He died for ME so that I can spend eternity with Him (how cool is that?)...and last, He loves me, but he also LIKES me! woo hoo!
